Bingo. His plan of moving everything to Modlife was a big reason why he wanted to go independent and not having to deal with a label anymore. Funny how once Mark and Travis said no to the Modlife plan Tom wouldn't put up his own money to record the next album and instead insisted they get under a label again.

 

Even still to this day, it all just feels like none of them wanted to play music together, but they knew they had to suffer through it to get a blink product out and make money. That's why I would never want Tom back in blink unless he had a complete change in his view. All of the people that still think "blink is not blink without Tom" confuse me because blink can't exist with Tom anymore. And even if they got back together, it wouldn't be because they wanted to work together.

 

I'd like to believe that the 3 really did want to make music together but once they started to be a band again with touring and record it just seemed like they just couldn't get back to how things used to be before the break up. Whether it was egos, priorities, or just set it their new ways.

I do think Mark always wanted to be in blink and tour and record but I think once he realized things with Tom weren't going to get better he kind of shut down and took a backseat, which is why Neighborhoods and DED is so Tom heavy. I don't think this was all a money grab for Mark, I truly think he loves being in blink.

I agree with you about Tom, while I think they're a better band with a fully committed Tom, I think they're better off without him because he just doesn't care anymore.

 

Yep. And I didn't mean it was fully a money grab exactly. I do think Mark and Travis wanted it to be blink - the sound of the music, the name, etc. but that came with so much shit that all three of them had to suffer through just to get it done and be able to call it blink-182, you know? Seeing how fast they worked and how much they toured after Tom was not holding them up pretty much confirms that whether you like California or not.

So...did you guys,who haven't heard of Skeeb before Blink ( if anyone like this exist here) checked out all his side projects? (Heavens,Sekrets,theHELL,split with Kevin Second and all these uncountable features) ...just curious what is your favorite? I still love to death Heavens and theHELL....especially that garage sound of theHELL is fun

 

Vienna by the sekrets is such a jam.

 

I think I enjoy Kuts even more than Babylon, which is surprising to me because I love Babylon a whole lot.

 

This is pretty funny.

 

I wish the next blink album has some Heavens vibes on it.

 

If they would just let their love for The Cure shine through, I'd be happy. We all know Mark was a goth back in the day!

 

Heavens was so good and I wish he did more with them. I love both Sekrets albums too, though I always picture that video where he was drunk off his ass trying to sing Voices whenever I hear that song

Yeah, Bill Cosby kinda shattered the whole illusion that only certain people could be creepy. If he can do it, anyone can. Still, I'd find it hard to believe if Mark was ever involved in anything like this.

Nothing really specific...but you never know, that rumor about Andy Hurley from FOB kinda shocked me...Can't say Iam shocked about Jesse Lacey,but Iam sad and heartbroken beacuse of those girls and then for people who loved BN and band ment the world to them...people also mentoing Yellowcard,Starting Line,NFG ( again?!)...Iam just scared and ready for whatever is coming...this scene means my whole life,reason why I moved to states,made me find my friends here when I barely spoke any English back then..and this is heartbreaking...

 

Part of me thinks that’s people wanting to add fuel to the flames, but then part of me knows I may be telling myself that to keep myself calm. I am going to just think All is good until someone comes forward about anyone

Some guy mentioned parties at his house with booze and underage girls...I mean that would be really fucked up....listen I know these are rumors mentioned somewhere on internet but right beacuse people take that usually as ,,Just rumors" victims are usually quiet and won't come up since people won't believe them.thats fucked up...people asking for evidence..Iam true to myself..like if this happened to my sister or girlfriend I wouldn't ask for fucking evidence,I'd believe them,I'd find that guy and kick his ass

 

I agree with you there. If a victim comes forward, its always victims first. If the person is innocent it’s their job to prove it , not the victim to prove themselves
