Today I've been listening to Jeff Rosenstock/Bomb the Music Industry! a lot. I guess you can't trust anyone anymore, but he really seems like a great guy and his music always helps me get trough difficult times.

Also Julien Baker, of course.

 

MCS will have to be in some really heavy rotation for me this week without a doubt. Love them so much and they are so perfect for getting through anything.

 

Circa Survive is an amazing band that released an amazing album this year if y'all are looking for other bands within the scene to listen to and maybe anoint as a favorite.

Also, the new Pianos Become The Teeth song fills me with so much joy and life and I cannot wait for their new album to be released in February.

TBH how my AOTY list is going to come out is the least of my concerns. There has been a lot of amazing music released this year. The loss of one album — even if I did/do/whatever really love it — isn’t a big deal.

Was on a podcast like a week or so ago gushing about this album. It comes out next week. Gonna ask for a disclaimer on it. Forgot about that.

 

Have you checked out Common Holly? She opened for Half Waif and Julien Baker when I saw them and she was so great

 

Just out of curiousity has anyone listened to them since the allegations. I certainly haven’t been able to

Brand New's music is still brilliant. We just probably won't be able to listen to them the same way again, if we listen to them at all.

For me, the last time I listened to Science Fiction was two days ago, before I knew anything about this. I think I'm gonna let the album and all of their other music stay in the past. During a time when I enjoyed them unequivocally. I won't let Jesse's horrible actions ruin those memories.

 

I've had In the Water stuck in my head and can't shake it, but I can't listen to them right now, if anytime soon, if ever.

I listened to Lit Me Up earlier today.

 

I listened to her record once and really enjoyed but haven’t come back since. I’ll have to change that.
