This is still fucked. Men use irony and humor to distance themselves from the perversion of their actions. Donating the money to righteous causes does not change the fact that they are encouraging girls (some of who are underage) to buy them bras to add to their collection which perpetuates the power dynamic that makes them feel the need to approach the band members as sexual objects. The culture that needs to change remains the same.

I don’t think they’re encouraging I think that’s what they decided to do because it kept happening and they couldn’t get it to stop. Again, there’s interviews out there, this is based off memory without googling.
