This this this. A whistleblower, 99 times out of 100, is a martyr. There's no benefit to calling out a publicly loved celebrity for being a dirtbag. It's not like you get rewarded to say something that conflicts someone's reputation. Those women are receiving death threats and misogynistic filth by fans who put the music over their well being and mental stability. It's not a beneficial thing to lie about, you dont receive positive attention. We have no reason not to think she's telling the truth.

Hey listen, I’m definitely supportive of the victims. My daughter is 3 years old and can’t imagine this happening to her in the future and wouldn’t want anything like this to happen to her and that to me is obvious without having to state it. I’ve watched friends hit rock bottom and a few have died. Please don’t act like I’m defending their actions because I believe there is something wrong with the men involved in all of the reports, all I’ve stated is that they are probably sex addicts - which means they’re probably traumatized in a way that we’re not going to understand, maybe something happened to them when they were children and they’re supressing it down by their actions. Unfortunately you just see me as defending their actions rather than trying to look deeper and have some sort of humility or understanding of why all of this is happening other than the fact that they are in a position of power (which may also be a factor in addiction) Don’t worry, I’m going to delete the pictures of my daughter holding my brand new records, but I also believe in some sort of compassion towards humans that are traumatized in their own way. I’m sure, I’m not he only one interested in the fact that addiction has a factor in this..and hopefully it starts a conversation about it. It’s deeper and more complicated than we are ever going to know. The answers will never be there completely.

 

This is not going to be over with a statement. No matter the outcome, Brand New will never be regarded in the same tone.
