I feel really awful that this band is all I've been about since Science Fiction. I feel like my awesome trip to see them and everything else feels really off. I feel like a hypocrite being outspoken against so many artists/actors/creators, yet I've been praising the words and talking up the work of a creep. For 7 years he did this to that girl and I just really don't know how to be a fan anymore when it goes against everything I think I stand for.


They haven't said a single thing. What are you guys thinking about? There's about 1 way to say it and you're not saying anything. What. The. Fuck.

 

I wonder how consensual these things actually were. especially when one party is young and impressionable and the other is someone stoking their ego to their advantage. I don't think anyone should be defending Lacey in these instances, not at all. The least he can do is make a statement.

Completely agree. I hope that if anything comes out of all of this, its that anyone and everyone whose been exploited by this creep can come out now and stand strong.

of course, but using some preconceived "status" as a means to pressure someone into sex is still absolutely wrong. Surely we have a statement from the band and/or Jesse Lacey by tomorrow. I’d imagine he’s been in contact with his lawyer and trying to devise a plan to address these allegations.

my guy. jesse asking an underage girl to send naked photos of herself is a problem. him having a consensual relationship with an adult is not a problem and you rubbing your chin like "hmm was it really consensual though" isn't helping
