I made the Glassjaw jump because of the talk of the Long Island music scene getting the doors opened to more shit behavior, and they of course were first, for me, to come to mind.

 

I mean, I get it, I deal with those complaints pretty much every day at work and creators/rights-holders should be respected and compensated properly, but 1) there is a process for handling those complaints that's likely posted on the UPROXX site, and 2) if there's not, that's not the public stance you want to be taking when a band you're closely associated with is engulfed in a situation like this.

Nothing is surprising at this point, just disappointing. That being said, I feel closer to this community than I have since the switch and I know this band meant a lot to all of us, so I hope you're all able to take the weekend to process this news and heal, and above all else, I hope the victim is able to find some relief now that her story is out there.

Does anyone have suggestions on what to do with the limited vinyl (aside from trash it immediately)? I was going to try and cancel the preorder, but I'm wondering if I could auction it somewhere and donate the proceeds to RAINN or something? Not sure if that's a good idea or not, just looking for suggestions.

Everything I've seen says this started when she was 15, continued until she was 22, and she's 30 now. So that makes the timeframe approximately 2002-2009.

I, personally, don't put much stock in the second or third-hand allegation of him "creeping on" high school girls with his baby fairly recently, but I will happily recant that if more concrete allegations emerge.
