I have 3 moons left in Cap Kingdom, but got all coins. I think there's also 1 or 2 other kingdom where I completed all the coins. I slowed down playing a bit in the past few days but I think I'm ready to roll again.

Does the game give hints on where to find the purple coins? I actually want to complete those more than the moons.

 

I've been only playing here and there while I've been spending my gaming time on other stuff but I'm up around 400 moons now. I mopped up the Cap Kingdom but none of the other worlds yet.

 

Beat the Broodal boss rush in Dark Side and got the King costume. Probably gonna wear that from now on because it’s so goofy.

 

I love it so much

 

I usually play in whatever the local costume is for a particular kingdom. Just in case I come across the moons that require it, but also because I feel a sense of pride wearing them

 

I wear my wedding outfit all the time because that amiibo costs money!

 

The snow level is kind of bland. :/

 

At over 500 moons. Crazy that this game is still expanding.

Yeah, it'd be pretty low on my list.

 

My hours played haven't shown up in my profile. This the same for everyone else? I looked at a couple of your profiles and it still says played "X days ago".

 

If I blow money on this and a switch what other games are worth getting at this point?

 

Splatoon and especially BOTW

 

Botw
Mario+rabbids if you enjoy xcom or other strategy games.
Mario kart if you enjoy... Mario kart.
If you like playing online Splatoon is great. Strong community and constantly updated with new weapons and stages.

If your into indie games Star Dew Valley and Golf Story seem to be very popular right now. Though my personal favorite indie game for switch is Thumper, a different take on the rhythm game genre.

 

BOTW, and then I'd take a look at the indies in the eShop to see what tickles your fancy.

 

I'm not what you would call a gamer. Truth be told I stopped playing games in college 10 years ago haha. I bought a PS3 and a wii years ago and barely played them. The new MARIO and Zelda intrigue me but I want to make sure there's enough plat forming and basic games I can play with my gf to justify the purchase.

 

Of all the systems out right now, Switch will definitely scratch that itch.

 

What is on the horizon that might peak my interest? Are they planning another MARIO bros? My girl and I play that on wii still lol. I wish Nintendo owned all the platforms. I'd kill for a ratchet and clank or jak and daxter game :/

 

Nintendo themselves have moved towards not announcing games way ahead of time. So we really don't know what's next from them. You'd probably be safe to assume more Mario is coming though. As well as the next main Pokemon game(probably in 2019). Not many developers other than Nintendo are making games like ratchet and clank or jak and daxter anymore unfortunately.

 

Hopefully a new Animal Crossing game next year or the next!

 

There's Yoshi and Kirby announced for next year to scratch that platforming itch, albeit 2D.

 

I can't wait for a release date on those. They're always so damn fun

yeah, i'm probably buying a switch solely for botw and odyssey and a hopeful smash bros release soon

I've had mine for only a week and am consistently blown away by how sleek and well designed it is. Be it docked or handheld, it's the best system I've ever owned and with a steady stream of nindies for only 20 a pop, this is going to be the best purchase I've made in a long time

 

Went ahead and bought this cause I had an expiring Best Buy reward haha.
