Song is dope, but I would have legit thought this was a demo if it weren’t for this thread. I know Pinegrove aren’t exactly ones for “polish”, but parts of this sound a bit rough.

 

Yeah after a couple listens I’m kind of torn. I like the the live feel and sound of the intruments, but I wish the vocals were a little cleaner and more forward. Good song though.

Needed to listen to it, at least once. So good. I love it. I know I'll love it better in context. Not gonna listen again till the record.

Yea I think this track is really solid. I like how they sort of mess with that 3 feel and don’t give you the half time feel until the end. Direction is way different than what I thought they would go in but I love it

So gorgeous. This band is something really special. Before I found these guys I was honestly at the point where I was thinking maybe I wont ever have a truly personal connection with an artist again, maybe I'd outgrown that stage of life. But here we are, pgrove knocking out some of the most meaningful songs ive ever heard.

No worries, I thought so! I'm sure the guest will be cool. I'm just excited that Pinegrove are coming here! I actually saw Twenty One Pilots at the Corner Hotel. Less than a year later they were performing at Rod Laver Arena. Crazy how big they got in such short time, haha. I have a feeling Pinegrove shows will sell out quickly here too, they deserve it

 

Ehh, I think the harmonies would sound even better if they weren’t so washed out.

 

Not keen on the production but the song is great. Need to relisten and pay more attention to the lyrics though.

New song is great and touring with Phoebe in the UK is amazing news! I've only listened to Cardinal so I have a lot of stuff to check out before the album release from the looks of it - gonna get on that compilation album pronto.

 

Yeah, jealous of that UK tour.

 

Damn, i feared this would happen, playing much bigger venues than they did earlier this year. London is closest for me but still not exactly easy. Gonna have to think hard about this one.

 

I'm going to have to miss this tour I think sadly.

From Sheffield, closest one is Liverpool (2-3 hours) but I'd already semi-planned a trip to Berlin that weekend. Shame they're in Berlin the following weekend!

Surprised there is no Manchester / Nottingham / Leeds date. Usually there's at least one or two of those covered in a UK tour.

 

Nor Birmingham. I'm in Norfolk, so either London or Birmingham tend to be my go-to gig cities. Got lucky with Pinegrove coming to Norwich back in february, but we usually get overlooked by american bands.

 

Be sure to listen to the live stuff, it's arguably better than the studio versions. In particular, the live compilation Elsewhere and their Audiotree session.

 

They’re pretty much what I exclusively listen to. So good.

 

Same. I've mentioned it before, but I have a Cardinal playlist that is just my favorite live versions of each song. It's outstanding.
