The Virus is definitely one of their best songs. Really it has everything I like about them in one song.

I’m still down for that listening party the night it comes out. That way people have the day to do their solo listens before we do the party one

 

Wouldn’t it be fair to do the bracket BEFORE Wolves comes out? Realistically speaking..

 

But if we wait until after we can include wolves :)

 

Yeah but are any of the new songs even gonna hold up against a lot of their classic songs that’s we’ve grown to love over all these years?

 

That’s yet to be determined. They could! Hell when I did Brand New, Same Logic/Teeth Made it To the final four of the championship rounds

 

It's not that hard to make the final 4 with 5 albums haha

I believe we will have Heart of Polka with Page Avenue, Unheard Voice with ITWOD, the five Black Swan bonus tracks with the album and the two Constant bonus tracks with that one. Do we put Just Close Your Eyes somewhere? It's pretty much the only song left alone.

Btw, is anyone familiar with their material before Page Avenue (when they were called Big Blue Monkey)? I have these EPs on my PC, but I've never really listened to them. The songs I've heard didn't sound really good.

 

I'm not a big fan of the early BBM stuff, when Dan was on drums instead of vocals, but I like the Story of the Year EP that they recorded in 2002. It's basically the classic line up but with Greg Haupt on rhythm guitar instead of Phil.
