I have more vacation/personal/sick days than I know what to do with. I can bank up to 60 days of vacation per year. I'm half way there and that's not counting the 10 sick days per year that accrue each year + personal days.

 

You'll have to let me know how that goes. My wife is dying for me to go get one, but I'm scared AF

I get 20 vacation days, unlimited sick. but they expire at the end of the year so no banking.

Yeah, that's how we are. As long as our work is getting done, we can take as much time as we want (and also come and go day-to-day as we please). Any vacation more than 3 weeks in a single stretch requires special permission, and since we're a smaller team, we try not to have too many people taking time off at the same time. Although that's pretty much unavoidable around the holidays.

I’m a bit nervous, to be honest. One of my good friends had it done in September and he said it wasn’t bad but we’ll see.

There are probably multiple places in the area where it’s done but I think Cleveland Clinic in Twinsburg is a pretty typical spot for it.

 

Yeah this describes my job perfectly. It’s pretty nice. I keep thinks of trying for a promotion, but my hours and everything are so ridiculously laid back I’m not sure I want to move up to more rigid hours quite yet haha

I can't find a thread for them and I'm not going to start one now, so I'm just going to say I'm listening to Alabama Shakes right now for the first time in a while, and they are just such a good band. I'm dying over here waiting for some new music. Hopefully they'll put something out next year.

 

Works emails have been down for the last 2 hours. What a joke.

Yeah i do! Well its an old school boom box player. I've played the other one. I figured i would get the black one too with wtv i had left on my amazon giftcard. Playing the Nobody Moves version on it definitely enjoy that version as much as the original version.

 

I want one but don't want to go through with it. It's scary.

 

When I get one someday I'm actually not scared. It's a very easy in-and-out visit, and when you consider the alternative of her getting her tubes tied, it's much less pain and doesn't involve a very invasive procedure.
