In all seriousness, I hope Tom is doing alright. I was really stoked for him seeing that video he made for To The Stars a few weeks ago. He seemed happy and moved on with his life, then he released that facebook post the other day and my heart broke again

I just hope they come to the conclusion that between Dude Ranch, Enema, TOYPAJ, Untitled, and some of the older songs plus Man Overboard it's really hard to make a set. Add in what could be a fantastic new album, let's just cut the Neighborhoods stuff from the set. Let's throw some more ass kickers in the set, be it classics or new jams.

 

You guys don't know already? Mark can't confirm that he met with Tom because it involves the Department of Defense.

 

Love the description of the new songs. When Travis says uptempo, ass kickers I'm hoping we get some Lycanthrope type stuff.

 

I actually like plenty of neighborhoods songs even if it wasn't their best album. Natives, up all night, hearts all gone, even if she falls, after midnight. Wasn't their best release but I do come back to it sometimes

 

I'm pretty sure he's going to. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if it starts getting heated around the release.

 

I think under the circumstances that it was released (the lawsuit with victory) it did pretty well. They definitely didn't have the same resources as they did with homesick.

 

Pretty cool - Travis mentioned that ep may be released towards the end of the year.

 

I'm really hoping this record is a good one. I have this sinking feeling that we wont hear much new blink after this release. I think things will get messy with ole Tommy. It sounds like Mark isn't in the mood for bullshit and I'm sure Tom will start retaliating for getting called out.

Tom seems to be the guy who just wouldn't let go. People are gonna start questioning him on comments in his posts and he'll feel the need to say something. Now, it definitely feels weird to know he made up the meeting with Mark.

And I think we'll definitely get more blink after this. We need to hear those songs that didn't make the record somehow!

 

That would be fucking great. Speaking of Lycanthrope, random question: who is screaming in the outro at 3:25 ("YEAHHH")? Does anyone know for sure? It's fucking awesome. I hope there's a moment like that on this new record.

I hear ya, those are definitely the songs I would choose to hear live.


Also, has anybody guessed or figured out which track Skiba sings, "What's the point of saying sorry now?" My guess is No Future or Rabbit Hole.

 

I don't think anything messy will happen. I wouldn't worry.

 

I just feel like he has the ability to tie it all up in court if he wanted to. Granted, I like that nobody is tiptoeing with him. Regardless, it's not a garage band anymore, it's a multi-million dollar franchise and he owns 1/3 of it.

 

I just feel like if something were to happen it'd have already happened.

 

I don't understand why Tom thought it was a good idea to fabricate a meeting between him and Mark, especially right now, when Mark is doing tons of press and can quickly and easily debunk it.
