So so good. Poor Bob :(. Watching that aftershow and other interviews, it's crazy how self-assured these kids are, I was so lame as a preteen/teenager ha

Have two episodes left. Have time for one right now but won't be able to watch the finale for a few days. Someone tell me if they think I can watch 7 without being sucked into 8 with one of those wild cliffhangers?!

Sounds like you have 3 left. I would wait to watch 7 until you can jump right into 8 and then 9.

I do when I’m pissed off. At work I’m super professional 99.9% of the time, but then something breaks and I’m like “what the fuck! The fuck is wrong with you!?” Usually this is yelled at a computer or an iPad.

    Yesterday it was an iPad.

Yeah fair enough, I did too. It just seems a little convenient to completely change a character's personality under the excuse of puberty. It happens obviously, but it doesn't keep it from feeling a little forced in the context of the show. I'm not really bothered by his swearing lol it was just a bit of a surprise initially. It's the rest of his character's change that bugs me.

The Lost Sister wasn’t a problem for me because of anything to do with Eleven. It was the caricatured gang and the awful manipulative sister that bummed me out

If that episode seven gang is indicative of the expanded vision for the series...we are in for a wild ride.

  16. Finished. Top notch. Very fun. Couple moments I woulda changed but I wasn’t let down at all.

  17. I don’t think that’s gonna happen. The other 8 episodes make me think they’re pretty in control of the vision.

Finished season 2 a couple hours ago myself and I think this may be the only thing on right now that I would consider a must watch. My favorite thing about this show is the way they develop characters through the course of the season, and there wasn’t as much of that this season, but it’s still damn good.

I remember going into the first season and being highly skeptical because I didn’t think I’d be able to relate to a show about kids, and while there are interesting characters to follow outside of the core group of kids, I’m consistently impressed with the way the writers take these moments of childhood and portray it in a way I think is relevant to all ages.

I really don’t mind the lack of a plot tease for the next season. I’m still interested in seeing how Eleven integrates into society as Hopper’s daughter, who the other 9 kids are (outside Kali and Eleven), and what happens with Nancy, Steve, and Jonathan. To me, the “big bad” is usually the least interesting element of any story and they’ve got plenty to go on for future seasons.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Episode 7 was excellent character development for Eleven, and also showed the other side of the coin for someone with powers. It made Eleven realize that it isn't a life she wants to live, and realized that she truly wanted to be back home with everyone and help them rather than trying to hurt people who have wronged her in the past.

I thought it was very well done and did a great job showing that.

And finished. Loved this season. Steve and Dustin's friendship is probably my favorite thing abut it. Really a fan of all the kids and most characters on the show.

    Wish Bob made it :(

I thought it was corny (didn't like the punk rock misfits aspect), it was boring since it was such a big disconnect from the cliff hanger of the last episode, and it just didn't fit the vibe of the show and was just 45 minutes of worry that we were going in a direction that I was disliking. It also was predictable for an arc, I didn't for a second think El was going to go full out vengeance mode but I did worry that we were going to have to hang around with the crew of new characters while she figured that out.

2 episodes in and loving it too, but it seems like a bit of a slower burn that season 1, which is fine.

Maybe that's just because I had more time for S1 and blew through the whole thing in like a day or two.

  24. Iirc it kicks off real quick after 3 or 4 eps

Yeah that episode 6 cliffhanger is unreal. I almost feel like they broke it up on purpose to still make bingers experience a real cliffhanger, since we are now in the age of streaming. 45 minutes of anticipation vs a week or two on cable is cool with me.
