    Biggest most unforgivable plot hole:

Where is the Byers' damn dog??

I thought the Demogoran got him like immediately? Didn’t we hear him get attacked before he went for Will?

Or am I making that up?

I got through episode 4 with my girlfriend today. I am absolutely loving it so far. I think they’re pushing the story in all the right directions. I’m just hoping the rest of the season can keep it going and deliver.

  5. I'm only through three episodes but each had been better than the last. I feel like the content of episodes 1 and 2 could have been condensed into a single episode.

6 episodes down. Really into it so far. Very curious to see how episode 7 goes haha

Episode 7 has a point, I just don't think it needed to be an episode. The comment that said it feels like a Heroes episode is soo true.

    Loved it. Quick thoughts:

Episodes 1 & 2 felt a little disjointed. One of my only complaints.

The last shot of Episode 5 is, to date, the only moment in this series to legitimately freak me out.

On that note, Noah Schnapp's performance is going to stick with me for awhile. There were moments that were legitimately hard to watch in the last few episodes.

Episode 7 was not that bad and served more of a purpose than I expected. I will not be skipping it on my rewatch.

Kept waiting for some crazy revelation with Billy's character but it never came. He was a great villain but still wondering why he was there?

    Steve is awesome.

    Lucas's little sister is hilarious.

Loved the relationship and dynamic between Hopper and Eleven.

I absolutely adored a certain character who died, didn't mind too much that he died, but hated the way he died.

    Ending was wonderful.

Are the reports that this season is scarier than the first one true? I watched the first one with my family and they're looking forward to watching the second too but my youngest sister was already a bit scared of some parts in the first

There were 2 moments in this season that legitimately scared the shit out of me this season, and I don't remember finding season one very scary.

I don't know if it's as eerie as the first season overall just because there's less mystery, and more humor, but I thought a handful of moments were scarier than anything in the first season.

I’m on episode 4 and I can’t help but think of the production team and how long it must have taken to make that map haha

This season is bloodier/scarier, I feel like. However, there's no sex stuff (which is important if you're watching it with a group of teenagers at a lock in for your church like we did lol)

  18. Watched 1 EP Friday before work and planned to binge the rest Sunday when the weather was shitty. Instead I ran through them all today.

Highly enjoyable. 7 did seem slightly out of place, but when it all comes together in certainly makes sense — just probably could have been a subplot of another EP.

Immediately started looking up S3 and all the early takes are that it won’t be around until 2019. Ugh

Whew those last 3 episodes were amazing. Steve is my favorite now. Bob's death :/ was just starting to like him a lot.

I’ll give a more in depth post on my thoughts tomorrow seeing as it’s 3am but my initial thoughts are it was awesome and lived up to expectations, but the 7th episode was shit

Billy was the example of what Steve could have been. They wanted him to be that and they wanted a minor human antagonist and he did that well.

I just finished episode 8. It’s easily my favorite of the season so far, but I have one issue and that’s that I really wish they didn’t blatantly project Bob’s death with that shot of the gun. They already established that he doesn’t know how to use guns. We didn’t need him to forget because we could believe that even when armed, he could easily fail and get killed. Plus, he made it to safety and was taken by surprise so it’s not like having a gun would have saved him in that situation anyways. It was just kinda frustrating because it’s a small thing that instantly said, “btw he’s gonna die,” which made his death a lot less impactful when it did happen. Overall, really enjoyed that episode though. RIP Bob.

Just finished episode 9. This aftershow is actually pretty fun. These kids are hilarious

Edit: Oh yeah, I didn’t find episode 7 to be the dumpster fire a lot of people claim, but it’s easily my least favorite episode of the series. It just felt tonaly inconsistent with the rest of the show. The opening scene of the season had me kind of worried because I thought they were going to push this show in like an X-men/superhero direction, and they sort of did with this episode, but it seems like it was just the one. Anyways, I think the episode served its purpose, but it didn’t need to be its own dedicated episode imo.

    Funniest moments of the season:

    Dustin's interaction with Mr. Wheeler.

"How come the only one helping is this random girl??"

Lucas's sister having her doll make out with Lucas's action figure, then just casually replacing the action figure with a stuffed bird. She's my hero.

"Mr Mom? WOO!" (This makes me want to cry now)

And finally, Lucas's facial expressions during every awkward moment. Loved what they did with his character this time.
