It’s going to destroy me and I don’t think I’m ready

 

Julien is great live, that was the quietest audience I've ever been in because everyone was so captivated

 

I’m hoping she comes in early next year. She was in Grand Rapids 6 months ago, but there was no way for me to drive the three hours to go. I was crushed when I found out she wasn’t playing the MI date on the Kevin Devine tour

 

I'm sure it's not too expensive to fly to Dallas for Dec 20 hint hint

Then you might get to experience a 75 degree winter

 

I feel like mellow shows are such a gamble here and it's so disappointing, they can either be wonderful or completely pointless

@austingordon and I went to Allen Stone (probably misspelled and yeah you probably remember me going there) and it was supposed to be a super intimate show and I've never been a part of such an obnoxious crowd before

 

I just looked to see and it looks like it’s about $320

I don’t know how I would handle a winter day that isn’t 20 degrees and snowing

 

I'll stand by the best crowd I've ever witnessed being Hatsune Miku

Unbelievably energetic and thrilled yet not chaotic at all and extremely respectful to others

 

If you subtract all the money you'd save that you'd normally have to spend to stay warm in 20 degree weather it's only like $20!

 

that's true here sometimes too, and it's tough because I'm very easily distracted

 

Crowds there were really hit or miss too, even similiar shows at the same venue. The only other time I went to that venue a big fight broke out, and it was a Halloween show so people were fighting in costume

 

Same here, I have to really focus to enjoy things

 

Best crowds for me were

Horrible Crowes (21+)
Bouncing Souls & Leftover Crack
Menzingers acoustic @ Knitting Factory

Also Michigan crowds are usually pretty bad. Every time I see Kevin Devine acoustic is miserable because of the crowd talking and yelling stuff at him

Julien Baker is the most quiet crowd ever. It's like everyone is dead when she plays. It's great.
