Draft twitter has had some piping hot takes since the morning the Eagles traded up for Wentz that have been horrendous but this...this is my shit

Is skip Bayless just an asshole, or is his whole thing just an act ? I really should know this but it's an honest question.

 

This is always a weird criticism to me. Like, say this if he leaves and is bad. If he's excelling who the hell cares why? He could be a system QB that is only succeeding because of his coach and playcalling. He's 6-1 and a HOF division rival is 1-5 while the Cowboys killed their last franchise QB and Washington is battling egos.

 

It’s also strange that he is crediting Doug 100% when this is the guy that no other team even thought for a split second about hiring and the rumor was the only reason he got the job was because he was a) being pushed out of KC for having an affair with a front office secretary and b) Andy Reid told Jeff Lurie to hire him lol.

I mean, I hated the hire and still am not a big fan of it and I’ll own it for now....I hope the good stuff continues but Jesus.

 

I think Doug fits well with Wentz but the credit going purely to him is weird considering Smith is having his best years without him haha.

And yeah, he went from a joke of a hire to a the only reason Wentz is good. It's just bending over backwards to hate Wentz, which I don't get.

 

Draft people have tiny man syndrome and can't admit when they were wrong.

 

This is why the Browns know that, even if he was our #1, they can't take him into their WR corps.

It's not really even that impressive of a claim. Hell, Doug Marrone and Sean McDermott were actually up for the Browns' job and, at this point, they're probably jealous over the Bottles/Marrone and Tyrod/McDermott connections too. Such is life in the Bollocks Works. (Used because we're in London, mate.)

 

Marrone could've been in Philly and they passed, sending him to Jax?

This would essentially mean a December return, potentially just hold him out for the playoffs (assuming the Eagles make it)

Crazy to think the Eagles could go 4-5 the rest of the way and still finish 10-6 which is probably good enough for the wildcard and perhaps the division.

 

Maxwell to the Bucs makes sense.

 

I think 11-5 honestly. Momentum eventually trumps talent and they could conceivably be 10-1 haha

 

I would sign up for 11-5 right now given that I didn't see a single prediction from the expects over 9 games. I said 10 and the division but I admit that was partially homer glasses.

But looking at it, I see 11 as a worst case scenario at this juncture.
