Sky Harbor is great, but is pretty handily their weakest post-Static closer. Not all that surprised it's losing.

I meant to do write-ups for these but just can’t seem to gather the mental energy to do that today lol. This is my favorite Jimmy Eat World album by a decent margin, and one of my favorite albums ever. I’m kind of amazed to hear the production complaints here, I always thought it was a really wonderful sounding record, but I guess I haven’t listened to it enough critically since I’ve gotten more picky about that aspect of music.

Oh also, if it were up to me, Just Watch The Fireworks would win the whole thing.

 

If I had to quickly pick one song from each record it would probably be Claire, Sky Harbor, Hear You Me, 23, Dizzy, Invented, Appreciation, and Pol Roger. So I'm 0/2 so far haha.

 

Also there's no denying this band writes the best closers in the biz

pretty much its just one of those songs for me

I like it more than "You Were Good" and "Mixtape" to be honest.

Lucky Denver Mint - I bet that somewhere in parallel universe this song is With Or Without You-level rock classic. Their most underrated single and one of the best songs ever

Clarity - I usually prefer Blister over Clarity, but this opening riff is just too good

Your New Aesthetic - I like the raw and angry sound of this song. The whole record sounds romantic and heartbroken but this songs kinda stands out

For Me This Is Heaven - "Can you still feel the butterflies?". Classic

Believe In What You Want - One of my favorite choruses on Clarity. And I'm a sucker for good chorus

Ten - The first time i heard this song I was waiting for some kind of sonic explosion. But now I'm glad it is what it is.

Clarity is great album but to be honest it's not my favorite. But I understand why it is one of the most important records of the scene. Can't wait for BA, Futures and CTL rounds.

 

They’d be the worst songs by far on that album tho ...
