Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo Switch, October 27th, 2017) Video Game

Can it top BOTW?

I think it can, and BOTW might have itself dethroned my favorite game of all time which has held its place for over a decade (Bioshock).

 

Buying a switch just for this

 

So happy that sandbox levels are back. I haven't been this excited for a Nintendo game since probably Twilight Princess.

I don't think i'll ever grow tired of BOTW, it's the kind of game I think i'll get endless enjoyment out of. I want to start over and complete the game in different orders to see if the experience changes at all or if certain things are easier or harder. I have like 70something shrines now and I'm working on those and side quests.

 

So excited for this, although I'll barely have any time to play on Friday.

 

Hoping this is better than Breath of the Wild. I need a story.

 

Ummmm, I’m gonna guess it’s some variation of “save the princess” and not much else.

 

Yeah me too. I'm closing on the house my fiancé and I just bought on Friday ughhhhhh. Gonna pick this up at midnight Thursday and play for a bit though.

Yeah but this time there are evil wedding planners!

 

Can’t waaaaaait although I also can’t play much this weekend. :(

 

Three days! Cannot wait to get lost in the Super Mario universe.

i was about to get wildly offended but then realized the actual story of BOtW was sorta disappointing haha

The gameplay, graphics, and sheer volume of things to do is great, but yeah the actual story especially the ending was severely lacking in pulling me in.

 

BOTW is probably my favorite game of all time currently. I'm so excited for this, I hope it takes a long time to beat it

 

I am here for it! Currently have no plans for the weekend other than this game. Sorry Stranger Things, you will have to wait.

 

It was really my only complaint. I loved the game, I just needed more.

 

The Zelda games were never my favorite, and I only finished about 1/4 of the game. Eventually I'll try to go back to beat it.

I was going to hold off for a few weeks to save money, but I failed and preordered via Amazon earlier.

 

Ugh amazon didn’t ship my order today. Usually the ship out on Wednesday in order to delivery by release date for prime members. Really don’t want to have to cancel my order and chance trying to find it in stores, but may go that route if Amazon won’t be able to deliver on Friday.

 

Return it to the store when you get it for more money back

 

I canceled my Amazon order, but that was because my packages usually get delivered at the end of the day and I want to just grab it at Target.

They usually ship my Prime orders out the day before release.

 

Exactly what I did with Pokémon Sun last year.
