Eh. They’re all varying levels of dumb entertainment. I’m on II right now.

I heard their periods attract bears!

late to the hype, but add me to The Babysitter "loved it" camp. holy shit that was great.

only thing that kind of threw me off was trying to understand how old the main kids were. his parents are teaching him to drive, they talk about "being Seniors" in high school, gets made fun of for still having a babysitter, but i think at one point in time says he's 12 and looks like he's 10. wasn't sure what age he was supposed to be, but super minor nitpick.

feel like it could super easily become a cult classic and aside from a short scene of texting and some current era show references, there's really nothing that ties it down to a certain time period, which is nice.

Wouldn't have taken much to make them all better but apart from a couple none came close to the first film.

I am so excited to go see Jigsaw on Thursday night.

The SAW movies were always my Halloween tradition. Now it begins again.

Very. It’s my favorite horror franchise, even though I know there’s better out there

I groaned when I saw there was a new one. I'll probably watch it eventually but the first one is the only one I'd say I like.

First one is definitely the best one.

I like all of them though Own every single one

I did a project involving horror movies once which involved watching a bunch of the top grossing horror movies in the past... I think it was 10 years so I had to watch all the saw movies and it was a chore lol. They all just blur together for me after a while

I still get so disappointed that with all the potential of the dream worlds and inventive kills you can do within the nightmare on elm St world, that the remake ended up basic and boring

I agree with you there. It was so tedious and all the subtle scary parts of the original were replaced with CGI garbage

I’m actually really excited for the new Saw movie. It’s made by the Spierig brothers, who did Daybreakers and Predestination, and written by the guys who did Piranha 3-D. There’s a good chance it could end up the best of the series (at least from a purely filmmaking standpoint).

Fingers crossed. Though I doubt it beats the original

I gotta be honest here. I rewatched the whole series recently and I would probably put the original in the bottom three. It just doesn’t hold up (for me personally) at all. Leigh Whannell June just a terrible...terrible actor.

I’m so not excited for the new Saw movie, but I’ll probably go see it with some friends. Hopefully I don’t feel bad about giving it money

Different strokes. I feel it holds up very well, and the way it was shot (more off screen horror instead of in your face blood) has always worked better IMO

The first three are the best. Couldn’t even watch the last couple. The blood looks like a pink color in one of them and looked completely fake.

I just remember watching one of the later ones and the opening was so corny that I thought it was a cheeky fake open like with Scream 4, but it was the actual opening and set in the reality of the movie and it was ridic. I think it morphed from a clever lil film to this silly faux deep message while trying to make it more disgusting than the last and I lost interest.

I still don’t get it, a lot of people have said this. I thought 3 was the best of the sequels and wished the series ended after that.

I’ll never forget seeing 2 in the theater on opening night. At the end with the twist reveal and how it ended back in the bathroom, I thought it was genius. Not to mention the whole “house of horrors” premise is just awesome. Part 3 is one of my least favorite ones actually (5 is my least favorite by far).
