I thought the new QOTSA record was/is great! I'm shocked people were disappointed!

 

lol was purposely going for the childs song thing. Not the exact song I was looking for but I'm not dedicated enough fresh outta bed to go youtube digging haha.

Been tryna sleep off this cold, NyQuil really is a powerful SOB. I had a dream about sleeping and someone getting in my bed and waking me up, realizing I was awake in a dream and went back to sleep in my dream. Very odd, slept the whole night through though! lol.

 

Yeah, I'm with you there. I mean, it's no Like Clockwork, but that's my favorite album by them and I didn't expect this to meet or surpass the quality of that one.

 

I think we actually talked about the record the day/week it came out! I could be remembering wrong. Like Clockwork is incredible too

 

My daughter had a nightmare a couple months ago and was afraid of her pillow (?????) and she demanded that we take it out of her room.

So she hasn't had a pillow in her bed since then. :/

 

The new At The Drive In record is still great IMO. Listening in anticipation of their new EP coming out!

I don't know how many metalheads we have in here, but my friend's band just put their debut EP up on YouTube. Technical death metal from New Orleans:

 

I liked it initially, I think I came into it expecting to like it as much (or more than) ...Like Clockwork, which didn't turn out to be the case.

After seeing most of the songs live (they played 7 of the 9 Villians songs when I saw them) it gave me a new appreciation for the album and it's definitely grown more on me!

Probably, I think I was out of town and working remotely (by myself in a small house) when it came out so I was probably on here more than I should have been, and I was listening to a lot of music.

I need to go back to that record, I haven't listened in a while. Same with Code Orange from early this year.
