It's a great song, and it follows the political ethos of a lot of TBEITBN, but I understand why it was a b-side though I'm glad they actually released it.

    Newbie

I went to public school in Alabama, so no. We covered slavery, the Trail of Tears, Japanese internment, etc. but never really got into their long lasting effects.

But in college I took classes that covered things like institutionalized discrimination & white privilege and we were able have productive discussions without people getting defensive, which looking back is pretty surprising (in a good way.)

I also got to write a paper about Brand New in one of those classes, so win-win.

A Lean Cuisine Spicy Penne Arrabbiata (it's pretty good!) and an apple.

I ate way too much this weekend with it being my wife's birthday and I need to just eat less.

I'm gonna try to drop some pounds with you too!

I was planning on going on a walk today during lunch, but I got tied up with a couple things that took me about halfway into my lunch and I guess it's just not meant to be.

I wrote a faux review on Deja Entendu in college for a writing class. I remember it was my best paper I handed in that semester.

    Shut the FFFFFFRESHFISH UP

@KidLightning I had a change of heart on the new Front Bottoms album. While it's still not a favorite, I like it a lot more on repeated listens. I think I just needed to get over whatever expectations I had going into the first listen. "You Used to Say," "Vacation Town," "Ocean," and "Raining" are my favorites atm.

Nice! I've only listened a few times but I woke up yesterday with parts of multiple songs stuck in my head. My favorites would be "Peace Sign", "Vacation Town", "Don't Fill Up On Chips", "Grand Finale", and "Raining".

I can't believe how much the chorus to "Everyone but You" sounds like it should be sung by blink-era Matt Skiba. They should've gotten him for a guest feature.

Hey, we gotta start somewhere! It'll be worth it when you step on the scale next and the number is less!

How often do you weigh yourself? I typically try to weigh myself once a week and try to do it at the same time each week (Wednesday morning right before I leave for work is my routine). I find that if I weigh myself too often I'd tend to get discouraged more. Obviously, there's not a right way or a wrong way, whatever works for you!

We have a treadmill in our basement that I need to use more. With the NHL season going and NBA starting tomorrow, I'm going to try to get on that more when I'm watching games, even if it's just walking.

I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but with kids it's tougher to exercise! I used to stop at the gym after work a few nights a week, but that's a thing of the past at this point. Right now for me it's basically just basketball once a week and then trying to get in some steps when I can. And basketball the last few weeks has been a mess...with the Indians in the ALDS, the games from those couple weeks were postponed so I haven't played in three weeks. So that's even less exercise for me!

Ok...back to the Brand New discussion ;)
