In one hour I’ve made a grand total of three flashcards

 

i don't think i've been to any of my classes in like two weeks and i'm starting to freak out that i fucked up beyond repair :(

My mom told me that when she was in college she’d put everything off until the last minute and still get good grades. I blame her.

Also, it’s 6pm and I’ve done almost zero studying for my three midterms this week. I feel so fucked

 

I have an exam on Tuesday, an essay due Tuesday, and a presentation due Wednesday. All weekend I kept saying I need to get started on that. Here it is Sunday night and I haven't done shit

Yikes. What classes?

 

2 history courses and a political science course. We got most of the questions beforehand and very reasonably sized lists of terms. They'll be easy. But that kind of makes it worse, like 2 hours of actual dedicated studying would do wonders.

I feel fucked cause I know I’m walking into short essays and stuff like that. Also, I realize I’m mainly stressed out because I tend to feel like a failure when I don’t get an A on something (despite not putting in the work). I just try and get C’s on these midterms and then kick ass for the rest of the semester lol

 

I asked my classmate if she was ready for the midterm on Wednesday and she said she hasn’t even studied yet. Music to my ears

 

Oh boy. I am deep in the dark playground lol

 

Got a midterm paper due Wednesday that I thought was due next week. Time to start ingesting 4 wks worth of reading and pooping out 1000 words on it

I'm trying not to stress too much cuz I know I'm capable of producing decent work in this amount of time, but I am letting myself down by not producing my best work

Sounds like most of us have the same issues. We all have zero problems comprehending the material but we can’t seem to ever focus and actually ingest it. I have learn what the hell Pride and Prejudice is about by tomorrow amongst other things lol.

I read this book called, “The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains” and it was pretty fascinating. The invention of the “new tab” and the overwhelming amount of information online has really fucked with our ability to focus

 

Seeing everyone cram and freak out in the library makes me so happy

 

Lol I BS’d my midterms so hard yesterday. Thought I was gonna fail them but I like I might have pulled off a C for both. We shall see I guess. I’m about to walk into another midterm basically blind

Doing my homework the night before instead of right before class and I gotta say. It feels good to be prepared. My second night in a row. I think I'll try and make this a habit

 

I got a B on that exegesis that was 2 pgs short of the min req. Love profs who recognize quality > quantity lol. Still gonna rewrite it tho for the A since the length is the only thing I have to fix.

The midterm I handed in yesterday on the other hand was straight dog shit and praying for a C at best. It made me realize how often I ignore that class so I'm using this as a wake up call

 

I miss school. Hoping to start my masters part time soon. I work in cancer research so most of my workday is like school anyway.

 

I have off Monday and Tuesday for fall break and I feel bad for anyone who didn't go home. The only food place opened on campus is the dining hall, which usually has shitty food on the weekend anyway.

 

My school has this whole week off and its the first year I’ve stayed in the city instead of taking a 30 hour bus ride home. I think I’m going to paint my room today
