I just started a Sparta discography solo listen party. they only have 3 albums so might do that all night.

 

2017 been a rough year for keeping up (been finally tryna make my personal life happen so these are suggestions in and of themselves. Do like Movielife though. Another Long Island thing lol.

 

Sorry man. I'm from places where I've never seen anyone where a guy shirt.

I'm absolutely in love with long island bands from the early 2000s if you couldn't tell.

Edit: that was supposed to say "gj shirt" not "guy shirt". But honestly a place where nobody where's men's shirts sounds like an interesting spot

 

I’m a little bummed that I didn’t like the new ATDI more than I did.

What are your thoughts on them?

Never really listened to that one. It’s their debut right?

 

Their new album really brought me out of a rut during some turmoil in my personal life, so I feel it's a must.

2nd album

 

I don’t hate it, it just didn’t grab me like I hoped it would. I need to give that one another shot.

 

Second record, definitely first one where they started hitting their stride! First one is mostly instrumental and very raw. Also worth listening to though!

 

I like their older stuff a little bit, I need to revisit it. I haven't listened to new album but I think I read that Jim wasn't in it and kind of lost interest.

Love The Mars Volta == Sparta >> at the drive in.

Have the CDs been shipped out yet? I hope they post when they're being shipped. Halfway through October and no word on it.

 

This is fair. For me I’d probably go ATDI>Sparta>>>Mars Volta mostly cause I only like half of Mars Volta’s discography

 

I need to do a deep dive through TMV’s discography. It’s been a long time.

I like all three of these bands but Relationship of Command is my favorite album out of these three discographies.

 

I’ll check it out! Does anyone like Chuckles and Mr Squeezy? I hate that record

yeah I guess I only like half of their stuff also (1st 3 albums) but I love those 3. love all 3 from sparta and only really like a handful of ATDI songs. like I said I need to listen again.

 

It's a pretty bad record, especially when compared to the rest of their discography

 

Relationship of Command is a top five record of all time for me

that's the one I know the best. One Armed Scissor is my fav off of it.

I just definitely listen to Mars Volta and Sparta way more than ATDI

 

Am I wrong for thinking a Brian Molko/Deftones (feel like Brian/Deftones would sound more right than Chino/Placebo somehow) duo would be great?
