I'm a huge Tom DeLonge fan, but don't invest in his latest venture

I didn't read the whole article yet but the one thing that popped out to me was that $600,000 of the raised funds go back into Tom's pockets to repay a loan he made to To The Stars.

Well according to his new IG post he wants to build a spaceship that turns into a ball of light then disappears.

Seems like the only thing that will disappear are the investors money.

 

He wants to go on adventures to write into 'historical fiction'

 

Sheesh. I really don't understand how they won't be like "Good news everyone! We hit our goal of $3 million! Unfortunately, due to underestimating how much it would cost to build a disappearing spaceship, we realized we are still $473 million short of what we actually need. Here's a sci-fi film instead."

The combo of "Aerospace and Entertainment" is so weird.

 

It's hilarious how they say the entertainment division is the only place they make a profit but even that has been flopping lately

 

I mean any mildly interesting aspects of this whole venture are overshadowed by the fact that Tom has no grip on exactly how much it would cost to build a spaceship that disappears in a ball of light. And I'm pretty sure the cost is infinity dollars lol

 

The spaceship will probably be used for his feature films as a prop where it will act as a time machine that disappears in a ball of light.
