Anyone have a top 10 list from this year? Always looking for new ambient.

 

I have to think on that list... I'll try putting it together in the coming days. For now, here's an excellent album that kinda got overlooked.

I’ve had it for a while and wasn’t sure how I felt about it after loving EARS. Listened today for the first time in a while and I absolutely loved it.

 

EARS is still better for me but this one blew me away first listen. Its undoubtedly her poppiest album but still feels completely original, still has that lush ambient goodness

 

begins as new age/classical but eventually transforms into piano-laden free-floating ambient space. a beautiful album that i've recently grown attached to. recommend you guys give it a listen:

edit: also a much different vibe but excellent release from this month. comes from a Puerto Rican artist

I know nothing about this thesis thing but one of these tracks is a collab between Julianna Barwick and someone I never heard of but the whole thing is gold.

 

Waaaaat. If youve never heard of him, you need to check out Rafael Anton Irisarri’s new album The Shameless Years right now! Its so good.

 

I finally got around to checking this out and it’s great!
