I think it's a fun thing to track. I used to do it through iTunes.

I always wondered where the fuck that word came from, but I just used MusicBee at the time and that had a thing built in you can log into your lastfm through it and itd scrobble for ya.

I have a few other accounts too haha, my friends use to joke on me about always changing. *shrug* usually i just wanted a more accurate representation of what i was listening to at the time.... and i liked leaving the old profiles to revisit in the future and remind myself of music i use to bump all the time.

it is. the community they had around it before they changed it up was really nice, they had forums, groups, journals, loved that. I use to keep favorite albums/check out journals that friends would read and suggest to other ppl and give me recs based off my likes and etc. For a music nerd & obsessive like me lastfm was the perfect site at the perfect time haha.

only thing i really hated about lastfm was the pages where rappers and rock/metal bands crossed and all the inevitable racists that came with that in the comments on the artist pages.

Yea I'm excited about that. I've heard Thalia is really cool though. I haven't been there yet, but will be in less than 2 weeks for Julien Baker.

I woke up with "In the Water" stuck in my head this morning. Specifically, the line "How did you get the gold without digging any holes?", the chorus (including the lead guitar), and the solo.

I got kinda high last night and listened to this album and I now think In The Water is the best song on the album. I think it's Jesse's swan song.

I absolutely think it's a top 5 Brand New track, if not their best. (stoned or sober)

Like, of course I'm very happy to be going. I'm very excited. But if you're going to do that stuff, which I've always applauded the band for, don't wait until the week before tour starts to announce it once a good portion of your fan base that was trying at pre-sale, then regular sale, have already bought a shit ton of them.

I agree. it wasn't really until I was high and threw on my headphones that the lyrics fully hit me. and then that fucking solo comes on and I was like "holy shit". It's a song that makes me reflect on all of my "holy shit" moments with Brand New as a band in general and when they're finally finished for good I'll probably listen to it cry a little ngl lol.

I doubt they intentionally waited to announce it this week. This is probably the earliest they could do it.
