What's cool about this is that one of those guys got benched for the other one who was previously benched for Josh McCown.

One of those does not look like the other (although it isn't horrible). Jags 100% need to send the bounty for a QB. They are ready.

 

It's pretty cool how McCaffrey influences what the defense does without even getting the ball. They are always watching him. And Shula has done a good job moving him around in different formations. We've seen glimpses of how dominant the running game can be with him, Stew and Cam all in the backfield together. And the last two games the passing game has become more dynamic.

You can tell Shula is getting more comfortable in his play calling. At the beginning of the season the ball was being forced to McCaffrey and teams were just shutting him down. Now he's being used as a decoy which has opened up the rest of the offense. Funchess and Benjamin have both improved this year as well. On paper, the Panthers have a scary combination of weapons. It's just a matter of putting it all together. And to my surprise, Shula has been getting closer to that over the past two games. A lot of really creative play calling.

But they'll draft him. Rumor is Watson was 2nd on our board.

 

I have no idea where guys are projected to go but if I'm Jags I'd try to get a Lamar Jackson/Dante Pettis combo in the draft.

 

Lamar Jackson and offensive line unless we get in a Myles Jack type situation.

 

Another option, I just don't like the idea of rookie QB with rookie tackle. I don't know who the upcoming free agents are but signing a veteran at tackle would be more ideal imo. But those are expensive.

 

You should wait a season, the QBs will be better next year

 

I hate all the takes on how Dallas managed the end of that game yesterday. It's such a hindsight take to say "they should've ran the clock down more before scoring". In a perfect world, yeah that's obviously what you do. But when you're losing late in the 4th quarter you score when you can. I get who the other QB is and I get why you'd fear him getting the ball back. But you have to score. I'm not saying score as fast as possible, but don't play conservative assuming a touchdown will inevitably happen.

Oh yeah, me same. But a rookie is better than Parnell.
