No one had a draft I really liked top to bottom, but I wasn't high on this class overall.

Not a bad haul. Realistically, an NFL team should not be making 14 picks in one draft, but I think there's 7-8 guys here who could be solid building blocks for the future of the Sadness. Adding a 1st and 2nd in 2017 and 2nd in 2018 is all gravy on top of that. Minor gripes here and there, but can't help but feel impressed after this regime's first time around.

I always am baffled by people judging drafts before the players even play a snap.

This applies to far more than the NFL draft, but it's just seems super weird and not constructive to me.

I feel the same. Some people literally judge it on Mel kipers (or other random analyst) rankings which is just like..... O.O

 

Why the hell haven't the bears picked a QB to groom in the last two drafts? Would've loved to see cardale Jones back him up for the lolz

I don't think he was referring to anyone specifically. Just another awesome quote from the don.

 

He followed up with this:

"Grades" are silly. But it's perfectly acceptable to say "I DIDN'T like this draft because they chose players I didn't like /// I DID like this draft because they chose players I liked.

 

I'm sure well find out on that walterfootball list of "why weren't they drafted" or something

 

Keyarris Garrett signed with Carolina

 

I find it crazy Tyvis Powell went undrafted. But maybe I'm just a home.

 

Totally forgot about him. Wouldn't mind bringing him in, even if for homer purposes.

Edit: Just kidding. Sounds like the Texans landed him.

 

That's not even fair with KB and Funchess. So much size at WR.

Bills have signed Baby Gronk and Eric Striker. Really, really hope they can get Jeremy Cash. He's a good fit for the defense. Rex loves that 3 safety look with one walked up in the box and they need depth badly.

Hope he has a good camp and makes the team.

Would be cool to see all 3 guys lined up at once.

 

Bills picked up Glenn Gronkowski and Eric Striker. Two nice pick-ups there.

Texans reportedly sign Stephen Anderson and Tyvis Powell

 

I really like Baltimore's draft and, once again, Minny's looks very strong. But it's all so meaningless. The 49ers' 2014 group, excluding Jimmie Ward, who I did not like much, was one of my favorite all-time hauls. But two years later, Ward is meh, Hyde is meh, Ellington hasn't done anything, Borland is retired, and Martin and Thomas haven't made any waves so I'm assuming they're not very productive.
