Gonna echo these sentiments. It doesn't hit you in the face like the last album did, but it might work better in the context of an album.

 

That new Aborted has sent me on a binge of all their records. Fuck, these guys are solid. Definitely going to binge Benighted after I'm finished with Aborted as well - I always closely associate those two bands mentally.

 

I've always had a tough time getting into Gojira so this track doesn't change my opinion of them much.

mgla might be the best black metal band out there currently (yes, even better than Deafheaven).

 

Just getting around to the new Ripper and Destroyer 666. Both are awesome.

 

For sure. There are dozens of superior BM bands. And I enjoy Deafheaven.

 

Gonna meet the Frank Bello from Anthrax this Sunday. I'm excited for the whole Welcome To Rockville festival but that's definitely gonna be a highlight.

 

Has anybody else listened to this album? Some great death metal is to be had here. Lots of good riffs.

Just got those Abnormality and Lord Manntis albums yesterday. Have yet to listen to them

 

So over the last week I've really gotten into some "starter" band of the genre(Sleep, Thou, Baroness), and they're all fantastic. Still need to dig into lesser known acts.
