Can't stop listening to this. Love that they've made three distinct albums with different sonic directions that didn't repeat themselves.

 

I haven't listened to it yet. But I've got to walk home from work today and I'm looking forward to walking on this nice cool day with this album.

There's a synthesizer in "I'll Make Everything" that reminds me SO much of My Bloody Valentine

 

I'm still kind of stunned by Marine Tigers.

Feels like this would have been better served as the bridge between Harmlessness instead of following it. Still really good, but not feeling it nearly as much as their last.

Marine Tigers is fucking legit though.

I've never paid too much attention to what makes lyrical sense with these guys. Instrumentally, this is a great bridge.

 

Can confirm this record pairs well with a cold autumn New England drive

This record is a step up, and I loved Harmlessness

 

It’s a grower and gets better with every listen. Hope people give it a chance

 

Don't really get why people didn't like it in the first place

 

Agreed, it takes the most acessible parts of Harmlessness and uses that as a springboard for an entire album. There were a lot of meandering and weird detours in Harmlessness (but it def made it unique). The new album takes the parts that are more emotionally resonant and compounds on them

 

Yep, still loving this. Picked up my ticket for the Portland date. Mississippi Studios is such a great room, can’t wait

 

should go to the seattle show, mansions UGHHHH

 

It def grew on me over the weekend. Although I still doubt it'll be my favorite of theirs, likely due to my own personal biases, it's a solid album on its own merits.
