After our serious music convo the other day, I've decided to write my second blog post about sublime and the whole "ska/punk/reggae" scene of the 90's. I am also listening to all the wonderful Sublime albums and bootlegs I have. Oh youth.

 

You know, 40 oz is one of my favorite albums of all time and I've never listened to the self-titled in its entirety.

The love for DMB blows my mind. Or any of that jam band stuff. I had a friend who was trying to sell me on it and I think it was march of the ants (or some really big song) and Dave never actually learned the lyrics so he makes them up every night/mumbles them. Like that was a selling point to him.

 

I'm currently listening to Sublime with Rome. This shit is awesome. I am really diggin' it.

 

My mom is secretly on Fb and friends with only me, my sisters, and my brother in law, so she sees everything we like like it's our feed and she saw that I liked this video and was like "Matthew please be conscious of what you listen to, this is so profane and one day you will have to answer to God for that" and I was like MA hahaha

 

Hahaha your mom is one of "Those" moms. God is the one that created the person who wrote that song. So....yeah.

 

My family is one of those families, and my community is one of those communities... It's a balancing act being home haha

My parents are so laid back. Probably because they are only 51 and 55. they had me at a very young age.

 

That is torturous.

I feel kinda confident our generation's parents won't migrate en masse to twitter, thankfully. My mom would probably have some worries over some of the stuff I post there.

My parents are 38 so I've never really dealt with any sort of strictness.
