It's strange for me. I am not a fan of huge, bombastic games. For me to love a game, it needs to be something I can jump in at any time and become immersed. That is a big reason why I love games like The Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon. Anyone can jump right in and immediately figure it out and be successful. There is a ton of lasting value in a game like those. I'll take the indie titles you can beat in 20 minutes but play a thousand times over before I take an 80 hour slog. You will never play the same game twice.

First play through was maybe ten hours? On repeat plays, you can beat it in about two or three.

Oh, for sure I'm with you on that one. Binding of Isaac and Gungeon are great games. Maybe its just me, but I try not to judge games by how long it takes to beat them. Its more about my overall experience of the game. Sure, the length plays a part, but so do many other things. I can't remember the last time I had as much fun as I have these last few days with Ratchet & Clank. Its beautiful, the weapons are creative and offer various different playstyles. There's not many games like it at the moment, and I give it a lot of credit for that.

Super happy with Ratchet & Clank overall. Especially for 40 bucks day one.

She didn't work on TLOU. She worked on the three earlier Uncharteds and she was let go sometime a couple years back by ND and replaced by the guys that did TLOU.

She worked on the Jak and Daxter games too as well as the Soul Reaver games so she's done a lot of great stuff.

I agree completely. One game that was a fairly easy completion but also was just a very well done game is Wolfenstein The New Order. I love how Xbox and PS are supporting the indie developers.

Edit: I realize Wolfenstein did not come from an indie developer but you get my point.

I beat Ratchet and Clank the other night and coming from someone who has never played the series before I loved it.

Personally I don't think length of game has any weight for my GOTY just depends on how much I enjoyed it.

Currently my favorite of the year is definitely Firewatch and that game was super short.

Rocket League ball cam makes me dizzy lol. I'm just so surprised that seemingly a lot of people can use it as well as they can. It doesn't feel right not driving straight all the time

The Witness is great. Unfortunately I hit a brick wall with it in certain areas. I feel bad always looking for walkthroughs.

I haven't really played a game yet that I would consider GOTY material. It's only April/May so we have a while to go.

Nothing better than clowning some fools who shit talk over chat on RL. Went two nil down and missed a save so they spammed "What a Save" over and over. 5 unanswered goals and they forfeit the match.

True but there isn't much coming out the rest of the year that I'm too interested in that I can think off but yeah a lot can change!

I love when that happens. I had a guy on my team earlier doing something similar, even said "can i get a new team?" in chat. He got swapped teams for the next match and lost through him hitting my shot in to his own goal. The karma tasted so good.
