Right! I turned 26 this year in July and the first time I heard that song after I turned 26, it hit me hard.

Suburbia made me fall in love with that band but then TGG came out and that was the lead single and took it to another level. They have a lot of laws -- only half of the last two albums were good -- but that song and like 2-3 other songs mean the absolute world to me.

I talk to a lottttt of people like this and try to help them through it. It makes me so furious though. They know what they're doing and purposely are trying to shine a light and deflect it so they can play it off with innocence. Just so much grrrrrrr

Also I spent all day watching Netflix stand up specials, eating mediocre fast food, and making plans with friends and family. I feel good now, like I’m 80% the way to being normal.

I had a very self empowering thought process that may or may not have been fueled entirely by Slim Chickens slim sauce this afternoon. I’ve spent the last several years trying to date and have relationships looking for the perfect person and I’ve dumped so much emotional and physical energy into that and now I’m out. Not that ashley was like the “last straw” or anything, but I’m taking this break up to be a reset of sorts. I have a good job, a good apartment, a supportive family, friends who care about me, i work out and I run, I’m involved with my local DSA and I’m making more and more friends and connections. The only thing that isn’t going well for me is I don’t have my ideal relationship. And so what? I’m extemely fortunate in literally ever other area of life. And I think that’s why almost my entire focus for the last several years has been in finding “that” relationship because it’s the one thing I don’t have, so not having it makes it that much more weighty in terms of prioritization for me. I just need to stop taking all these failed relationships and dating experiences so personally and treating each one as a personal failure on my part that didn’t work out because I wasn’t good enough for the other person or some other reason like that and just work on dropping that need to find a partner completely.

I've come to the realization that the good relationships come when you least expect and aren't actively seeking one out. Keep your head up bud!

Oh, there's no rule about it. It's a first floor flat and there's 2-3 doors between my flat and outside. So, it would probably have to always live in the flat, as I wouldn't be able to let it in and out.

Not sure how I feel about that.
