when they changed them, there was this bodega near me that had cases of the now illegal loko and they knew exactly what was up and was charging like $15 for one can and kids were still buying them up.

 

The phone wipe is only if you have that setting on. I do not.

 

I'm pretty sure it's the default setting, or at least it used to be.

 

I think it did come that way. But I turned that off almost right away.

I'll tell you about a prank that went very, very wrong.

In 2011, there was some prank phone calling app that when you called someone, the number came up as 666, and the voice was made to sound like the Scream voice ('what's your favorite scary movie' voice).

So my friends and I were in Charlotte visiting another friend, drinking, making prank phone calls to friends and family members. Well, my dad is a lawyer (typically with a great sense of humor) so my friend called him - he didn't pick up - and he left a voicemail saying 'my name is Bob Williams, you put me in jail 10 years ago. I'm out now and coming to kill your family'...Again, this caller ID says 666, and the voice is ridiculous. I never even thought anything of it or that my dad would take it seriously. My friends and I continued drinking, went out, forgot about the situation, etc.

The next morning, I wake up to several missed calls from my dad and some voicemails and he was explaining the whole situation, that he got a threatening call. He took it quite literally and was telling me he spent the night tearing a part his office looking for records on a Bob Williams. He had my sister and her son go sleep at a friend's house and he slept in the living room with a hammer. He was asking if I had heard anything from anyone.

I'll never forget the phone call I had to make to him to let him know it was his very own son (who was 25-years-old at the time) pranking him. Holy shit my dad was never more disappointed in me in my entire life. He had made a police report and everything.

My friend who made the call was ill to his stomach, wrote a letter to my parents and everything apologizing.

Fast forward a few years, and we all joke about it, even to this very day. But holy shit, a prank definitely gone wrong.

 

Got to court right at start time. Unfortunately, I'm the last one in and I get to stand in the back, so I'm just staring at the backs of people's heads. Not listening to the judge really either, all I can hear in my head is Vin's riff at the end of In The Water.

 

Hahahaha holy shit! As fucked up as that is, that's classic.

I feel the need to edit this to say we actually set it up in the Dining Room not the living room, which makes it funnier in my opinion. Hell I slept in the living room plenty of times.

@truelovewaits do you know the band Trade Wind? It's a side project band but I actually like it more than any of their main bands. Got 2 releases so far EP and LP. 3 if you count their audiotree session. Anyways thought I'd share them with you. Curious to get your thoughts on them
