Because the issue is racism and police brutality. That's what Kap knelt for, after countless black bodies were murdered and beaten by police with no accountability or repercussions for those responsible. That's why Kap and others knelt before Trump spoke up. Now the linking arms and talk of "unity" are a co-opting, a different statement. One that is watered down and divergent from what the initial root cause was. Yes, I appreciate that it is in response to Trump, a vile fucking degenerate. But it's a response that does not register to him, since, after all, he tweeted his approval of linking arms for "unity" while continuing to condemn kneeling and even going so far as to explicitly state the NFL should ban kneeling during the anthem and saying players "must" kneel. If you're going to reject Trump's words, it has to be by kneeling or something even stronger. Not by falling in line with "approved" protest that moves further away from the original point.

Yep. It's really frustrating. Considering that several packers players sat for the anthem Sunday, I'll be curious what they do come Thursday. Im not sure I can see Bennett buying into this.

I mean, "Rhodes are closed" isn't exactly a great slogan. He is Rhodes. Why would he brag about being closed?
