I was gonna say to not discredit the nfc west but then i remembered we have the Ohio teams. Hopefully the Ravens-Steelers games will be close, but that Jags game yesterday made me eat all my words...

 

It's comforting knowing Adams wasn't on the table for them. Because the thought of choosing between Fournette and Adams kills me a little haha.

 

So I picked the Bucs in my eliminator lol.

 

I was gonna be mad that you recommended Bucs as an option (I changed mine to Bucs) but my pick before that was Dolphins so I was screwed either way.

 

Let's be real, the Bucs were a sexy pick ha. Man the NFL is a mother fucker.

 

42% of picks were wrong... It was really close otherwise because 40% more were on the Packers and Patriots.

I went Dolphins damnit.

 

Yeah I'm taking a mental health break from watching games I care about until November (just because I already have tickets so might as well), it's too much haha

 

Pick em leagues seem to be fine because everyone missed the big ones. I got 7 right, which is all ironic because the only iffy one that I got right was Colts over Browns. haha

This will sound weird but I'm turned off from football after this week. The outcry of people absolutely trashing players and teams for showing some protest and solidarity is depressing. The Steelers fan base is blaming their loss on staying in the tunnel and absolutely blasting Tomlin for not making his team come out and stand for the anthem.

So i guess it's not the game or the players but the shitty comments on sports blogs and shitty commentary from "analysts" and former players and the media etc.

 

...maybe we just stop pretending sporting events are some microcosm of all things patriotic?
