I’ve managed to get this as my team this week after a wildcard, I’m pretty happy with it apart from the keeper. Xhaka and Doucuré I intend on swapping around depending on game weeks.

Watching NFL and just saw Robbie Rogers dancing around in the longest Target commercial I've ever seen.

 

Can't wait to lose 2-1 tonight. Two goals from set pieces in the first half before an "inspired" attempt at a come back in the second half, with Lacazette getting an 87th minute consolation.

Having slept on yesterday's abomination I think the time is right for a change of manager at Wednesday. Carvalhal doesn't know how to motivate players for big games so if we get to the play offs we'll lose again.

On my FM save, Luke Shaw just won the Ballon d'Or after England won the world cup in 2022 (in Canada). Fullbacks are overpowered on FM16.

 

I tried to sign Shaw on PES. Greedy prick wanted €5.5 million a year.

 

On my friends FM17 season Leicester won the CL the year after they won the PL without making a single signing. I love that game, and by love it I mean hate it. I'm Hertha Berlin right now and after 13 games i'd scored NINE goals It's now february & my top striker hasn't scored a single league goal lmao.

 

Has a defender ever won the Ballon d'Or? Or even come second or third. I have no idea.

 

I love watching Dortmund. Wish Dembele wouldn't have left though.

 

Cannavaro in 2006 was the last one to win it, then Messi and Ronaldo turned up.

Quickly looking through the past winner, seems like only a couple of defenders have won it. Don't think a goalkeeper ever has won it.

Something I was thinking of on the train just now. There's two unbeaten teams in the league so far, let me preface this by saying I don't think either will do it. But how do you think one of these teams would stack up to the 03/04 Arsenal team if they went unbeaten?

 

I can't fully remember the Arsenal team because I never could stream games like these days, but I think Arsenal would just edge it. That team was ridiculous defensively and had prime Henry, not many teams could touch that imo.

 

Lev Yashin is the only GK to win it - won it in 1963. He kicked ass.

 

Since 2000: Neuer made the top 3 in 2014, Cannavaro won it in 2006 (Buffon came in second), Oliver Kahn also came in third as a goalie in 01 and 02.

 

I know this is a Pulis team, but is this one of the most defensive line ups of all time?

3 CB's, 2 wing backs that are fairly defensive FB's by trade, 3 DM's, and 2 two forwards more known for work rate than finishing.
