I've seen Paul McCartney twice and he played A Day In The Life both times I think. His set lists are always so expansive

I think Day In the Life and Jet are the two songs I feel like I still really need to see. He was playing Jet every other show this summer, and he was in Chicago 2 nights, and ofc I went the night he didn't play it.

Band On the Run is the best album he was ever a part of

Edit: Actually that's maybe a little extreme. It's the best Wings album. Ram is the best solo album. Sgt Pepper is the best Beatles album.

My lunch is weird: chicken fingers with sautéed kale and a beer.

Also, Paul McCartney is dope. I saw him a couple years ago at Lolla and was thoroughly impressed.

Sgt. Pepper’s is definitely the best Beatles album and TDAG is definitely the best BN album. SF is dope too and is their Abbey Road, as has already been said.

Don’t @ me, but you have all my love. #bakedbeans

I don’t know if I did any of this right, but you all get me. What’s the deal with album threads anyway?

Hyped to see Dua Lipa, The xx, Vince Staples and Gorillaz tonight

I didn't pack food well for being out of town and my stomach currently has Fritos + bean dip, Taco Bell, a slim jim and some m&ms all inside of it. Wish me luck.

personally think white album is the best beatles album but im not really a beatles die hard so that probably means nothing. their discog definitely warrants revisiting as an adult though

That's a respectable choice. I'd say that you could really make an argument for any album, starting with Help! and going forward (except Yellow Submarine or Let It Be).

And if SciFi is their Abbey Road, that basically confirms that we'll get one more album from them of music they wrote before SciFi but decided to not include.

i really like the sort of disjointed nature of it, i love how much stuff they tried out even if it didn't always work. that being said it also has my most hated song of all time on it but i think the positives outweigh that lol

Well you can't just say it has your most hated song of all time but not say which one it is... But yea I'd agree. There's something really cool about the idea that they just did a double album with a "throw everything at the wall and see what sticks" approach. And it unquestionably led to some of their best moments. (Dear Prudence, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Blackbird, Yer Blues, Helter Skelter, etc.)

Revolution #9. I heard it as a kid and it literally terrified me to the point where i ran out of the room and did not step back inside until i was sure it was done playing lol. haven't listened to it sense, it probably wouldn't affect me like that today but the ghost of that experience lingers so

Hahahaha I can totally see why that would creep a kid out "number 9, number 9, number 9, number 9". I'm picturing you coming back into the room like 4 minutes later thinking "well surely that song is over now", and then there still being 4 minutes left and you running out again.

I love mishearing lyrics. Anyone have a song that they know the lyrics to, but didn't originally and can only hear it the way the first impression was? I've got a few.
