Also catching up on this thread:

1. Left Alone is also one of my top 5 Cali songs.
2. I love AvA but those Love albums were terrible. The only takeaways for me were Hallucinations, Some Origins of Fire, My Heroine and All That We Are.

 

Love Part 1 is my favorite AVA record. Part two is pretty good but doesn't really feel as cohesive as the first part.

 

Yeah I haven't heard them in a few years now but I remember really liking Love Pt 1

 

Scott Raynor’s band, The Wraith, is playing a show in LA the same time I will be there in December! Going to try to finally go see him.

 

yeah I thought Love Pt 1 was pretty legit. It has a lot of good songs on it.

I-Empire is my number one though. Followed by...surprisingly...Dream Walker (Really liked the direction of this album). Then WDNTW at my number 3.

 

Combining them into one album would have made one cohesive good record, instead of one kinda good one and one with a couple good songs:

I told myself that if they started with “Feeling This” I will turn it off and not waste my time seeing the same set again.

I’m already done watching.

 

Feeling This should always be the opening song IMO. The rest can change

 

Pathetic would be the dopest opener.

Oh I am all For them changing up the set. But Feeling This is my favorite song ever by any band, so I biased want it to remain the opener

 

Gotta change the opener up. There are so many options.

 

I think him admitting he's ok with the setlist getting changed up is the first non-fanboyish they're-all mighty thing this guy has ever said. Take the win @Greg

 

I don't think they're good at Feeling This live. Mark's voice isn't strong on it, especially his "I'm feeling this!"'s during the verses. A lot of the masterful production touches don't translate live. It's fine and fun and a great song and of course Skiba makes it at least twice as good than with Tom but for one of my favorite songs ever recorded, I'm indifferent to it live.

 

It must be boring to open and close with the same song at every show, I don't get it.

For as much as this band loves The Cure I'm surprised they don't change up their setlist and play longer sets

 

Yeah I like Feeling This, but I miss other opening songs too. Pathetic, Dumpweed, Anthem Pt 2.

Even Cynical and then Feeling This would be a cool experience.

 

Do you know who doesn't open and close with the same song every set?

What an odd band to bring up. True that though, and good band.

 

For some reason I’m more okay with closing the set with the same song. But it does depend on the song. I like blink closing with Dammit. I hate that FOB refuses to end with anything but Saturday.

 

Inside joke, you're on the outside. I've been trying to get him to listen to a couple of their songs for two months almost.

 

See, I'm okay with them opening and closing with the same two songs. That's one of the things that makes Blink, Blink.

It's all the stuff in the middle that I take issue with haha.

 

You know, we seem to agree a lot. I like you.

 

What's the hold up? That's one of my favorite bands.
