Apocalypse Now And Then vs. Kill The Music was tough, but Apocalypse is such a good opener and is so catchy.

L’Astronaut vs. Pretty Dirty was also tough. I really like both and I feel like these songs are hardly ever discussed. I love the L’Astronaut lyrics. “We should all just thank god I’m alive”

Gloom is great, but Champing at the bit is at another level. Daryl’s guest vocals are probably my favorite ETID guest vocals (honorable mentions are INRIhab and It Remembers).

And please please please let Bored Stiff beat The New Black. No disrespect to The New Black but Bored Stiff is a better song and way more fun.

The New Black is a hell of a lot of fun. I also really love the music video for it. Reminds me of Boogie Nights, not sure if that was intentional or not.

But I'd vote for Bored Stiff over it any day.

 

To be completely honest, I don’t DISLIKE any ETID songs at all. They’re my favorite band and I’d take their “worst” songs over a lot of bands’ best songs. I just prefer a lot of their songs over The New Black is all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m with you on the love for Gloom, I just put Champing a notch above it.

Such a consistent band with so many good songs!

Was actually just being funny about the first post in the thread lol. Gloom is great but I play Champing way more often.

Yeah this albums ridiculously good, I get why people are a bit put off by the production but man it’s got so many good songs on this.

 

Would've been cool to get a 10 year re-recording of it. Oh well.

I know ETID probably isn’t the type of band to do anniversary tours but I’d love to see some of these songs live.

They play The New Black and Bored Stiff pretty much every show. Although they didn’t play Bored Stiff when I saw them last month.

Apocalypse Now And Then, Kill The Music, Champing At The Bit, and Gloom all seemed to get worked in occasionally too.
