Nothing I did was unsportsmanlike, I play to win. I needed a first down. But I’m not turning down a TD when nobody is on my WR.

 

Actually my DB was draped on him and it was an end zone catch. So apparently you are full of shit. Tried to give the benefit of doubt. All good, I no longer will be turning the jets off on teams seeing as the admins do not view it as a real rule and the page 1 rules need to be updated

I was talking about the game last night, I beat your ass a long time ago. I’ve slept since then and don’t remember. But you’ve been here for a couple weeks and know more. I’ve only been here 4 years. These guys have been calling for my head all 4 years, yet somehow I’m an admin. You two monkey fuckers might be onto something. Want an example of what I’d did last night? I was trying for a first down and the play was open for a TD. So I took the points. Did Talib slide down or run out of bounds last week when he picked the ball late in a game that was decided against Dallas? No, he took points like i did.

 

Look all I was saying is the rules are bit confusing. I didn't watch your game but I remember ours and I thought "hmmm interesting play seeing as he's crushing me, I thought there were rules for this but fuck it" then today I see someone else post a similar experience and tried to share my experience and tell you how you played in our game. I wasn't calling for you head I simply said look at what you do when you up big and you got defensive, cool. I love this league and so grateful to be apart of it but if we can't question an admin for something questionable what's the ducking point of staying? Just erase that rule and your fine dude like why is it there? I'm done on this subject, good luck and I want my rematch in the playoffs and if god willing I go up big I will keep the peddle down cuz my team plays to whistle every game too now

It is a rule. One you are misinterpreting. It says don't play like an asshole. I'd like for you to point me in the direction where it says you can't score or must run the ball on every play where you are up in the 4th? Where it comes into to play is if you are up a shit ton and still bombing it all over the field actively trying to run up the score for no reason. If you pump the breaks on your offense up and you get a pick 6 or your guy breaks free, no one is expecting you to drop dead and not score there. That doesn't happen even in the NFL.

From my understanding, that's not remotely what happened in Kaman's case. With 4 minutes or so in the game he has every right to try and pick up the first down through the air to keep the clock moving even when he's up by multiple scores. If the user fucks up and lets him score there, that's on the defense. From everything I've seen he was running the clock, but threw there once. If he was just airing it out, I'd punish his ass myself, and with pleasure.

The rules are in place to prevent you from scoring 21 points on some scrub in the 4th quarter when you go in up 30. That's playing like an asshole. The rule doesn't need to be replaced, it's vague because it has to be. You can't really put concrete numbers on what playing like an asshole is.

 

He was beating me by around 30 and threw a td to Corey Davis in the final three minutes. So explain that

I can't explain it. I don't know what the hell happened in that one lol. All I know is he scored late from what you say. Down, distance, situation and score is all that's taken into account.


Why didn't you say something then? How do expect us to punish his ass 7 weeks later when we don't know anything about it? I'm not the god damn government. I'm not tapped into your xbox monitoring this shit. If you're pissed about that shit, that's on you for not bringing it up then and he might have been punished.

 

For the fifth time I'm not looking for punishments or anything. I was new and he was the priest... I mean commish. I don't actually care about running scores up because I come from playing sports and we were taught to play for the 60 regardless. I was just sharing my example for my game after a user had a similar experience and seeing as he is an admin I just thought I could share that my views from our game too that maybe it was a bit much. Like I said previously as well I had read the rules and it seemed like this was a punishable offense so to hear an admin say "too bad bitches, git gud, my team plays every snap to the whistle" it's like ok, cool...

Look I'll drop it but I am not going to be taking my foot off the peddle in any user games now. It's what has been shown to me by 4 year vets

 

That's fine. By no means do I expect you to quit playing altogether just because you are up. However, If you cross the line of being an asshole, and they say something, your ass will be punished, just like Kaman or any other admin would be.

I feel like that rule is simple enough to follow, I'm not sure it needs to be made any clearer than that. Don't be a fucking asshole.

If you have the win well in hand, just get out of the game and take your win and leave some sort of dignity for your opponent. This isn't an MLG Madden league where you have to measure and make sure your dick grew an inch during the course of a one football video game.

I guess we were saying we felt this had gotten out of hand on two occasions. I can read and felt like the rules were either not being respected, enforced or not clear enough apparently. And an admin just saying too bad, git gud at defense didn't help

I hear you...I've had a few PMs this year from users regarding this rule being abused and I kinda was just waiting and observing and hoping it would get better. Clearly, it hasn't. I'll be a little more strict on this going forward.

If anybody has any issues with their opponent going forward on this, PM me. Keep the drama out of the thread, PM me and it will be dealt with going forward.
