That's where I'm at. I'm just not sure we get pizza. The meeting is at 1030. Pizza place opens at 1130. I really don't want rock solid bagels.

 

I generally just power through when I don't feel good.



I feel so bad bc I just can't today. I had to bail on my Nannie who of course is being a complete doll about everything. She's checked on me every hour since I talked to her. I'm so hungry but I can't keep anything down which has to be one of the all time worst feelings in the world!!

 

We have quarterly "all-hands" meetings, and they're always starting them around 10-11AM, which is too early for anything other than donuts, bagels, and weird pound cake. I'd be the first one there if there was a pizza guarantee.

 

The struggle when I think I look amazing and try to take a selfie but I look horrible in all of them and then I'm like do I really look good??? What's real??

I just had a meeting this morning and someone brought up this red nose day thing and they're trying to get everybody to wear one. I'm tempted to take off work just to avoid this dumb shit.

I think I've taken one selfie in my entire life.

 

I normally don't take selfies. If I do it's normally a snap so it disappears forever after 7 seconds. Or if a really cute chick sends pics I can't not respond thats just rude.

 

As someone in youth ministry, I understand the power that free pizza has on an individual. Unfortunately, I am also no longer capable of getting truly excited about pizza.

TO BE FAIR, church music benefits from some level of simplicity/familiarity. That's why Dustin Kensrue approached The Modern Post differently from Thrice and his regular solo material. Though, yeah, CCM/worship could certainly significantly up its game, lol. The chorus of "Our God" by Chris Tomlin is endlessly frustrating.

 

So in other words, You don't care about sick kids that are going to die from cancer.

It's actually a really wonderful program and it helps a lot of sick children.

Oh my god guys my friends need a new home for their elderly cat and I said I'd take her and I'm gonna own a cat ahhhh!!!!

 

Oh totally. It's where I got my start playing music. It's just predictable, for the most part, and really cheesy. Like, painfully so. There are some bands that I've heard incorporated more into a church setting recently, which is good, cause they're actually writing solid songs that aren't the standard Hillsong formula (Kings Kaleidoscope, Citizens & Saints, etc).

 

It's the best experience ever!

No link but yup I killed! Headliner ended up being garbage which is disappointing but it also means I stole the show which feels amazing. My head hurts from way too many people buying drinks and being too nice to say no.
