Holy hell this album is a blast. Thank god for the movie life and a reason to enjoy pop punk again

 

I dig it! I'm sure I will like it more after a few more listens

So excited to see them on Sunday

 

yeah i mean i didn't expect this to be some groundbreaking album, they're not reinventing anything here, just a fun fast record.

 

It's what the scene needed right now, so many bad pop punk albums out there.

 

Listened to I think three songs off this driving home and switched off. Gonna try it again tomorrow when I have more time.

 

Alright on my fourth listen and yeah this album is pretty great. Happy I pre-ordered the vinyl. Has anyone’s shipments come in yet?

This is one of those albums you hit play twice on bc it's so short and so much fun

 

yeah agreed, i think i was able to play it three times within like 90 mins., super short and fast

 

A lot of cool little key changes thrown in, also love how they use the 3 pop punk time double time, regular time, and Half time to keep the feel of the songs interesting.

 

Fast? I feel like I listened to something different.

Very disappointed in this overall.

 

Also hearts sounds almost like all get out ha.

Sounds like Wolverines without the edge, to me at least.

 

i'd agree it definitely sounds more like a IATA album than an older movielife album, but i half expected that anyway so i was not that disappointed or thrown by it. i definitely like it more now than on my first 1-2 listens, but hey if it's not your thing that's just fine.

 

How are people not hearing the 2003 Long Island pop punk influence on this album? This is exactly what I thought an album from them would sound like, and I love it.

 

haha being from long island myself i guess i maybe notice it less just because every band thats ever banded on long island tries to emulate it so ive just become numb to it

 

Really really love hearts, is there more stuff out there he has done that sounds like that?

 

Laugh ourselves to death is a highlight

I didn't like his solo album that much, but his ep was great! I listen to three songs off of it fairly regularly.
