Enjoy! It's funny because, outside of the sexual stuff, the struggles they have are basically on par with everyone in their mid-twenties. A lot of times I find myself just going, "YEP".

That's happened to me on more than a few books, so I can totally relate. Don't even take a stab at Berserk. Ugh.

Pick ups from yesterday.

Signed copy of 'House of Penance', 'Aliens: Defiance' and 'Over the Garden Wall #1'.
OTGW is easily my favorite animated thing ever and after a one-off comic followed by a small run in 2014, i'm happy that they're finally making it a recurring thing. I can't recommend it enough.

 

I've spent the last couple of months completely binging on Spider-Man. Worth it alone just for that imo.

 

Yeah, I read through a ton of stuff. Absolutely loved Ultimate Spider-Man.

Why do they give a shit? Not everyone in the world can be at CC. People sneaking shots of their trailers hurts NO ONE.

 

Yeah seemed weird to me too. Like i understand they may show more than a trailer, but if they aren't showing the whole damn thing why is it such a big deal(not that i'm condoning pirates by any means). I would think if most people see footage of a film and they enjoy it, guess what? they'll go watch it when it releases, how is that a BAD thing?

 

I don't think they have much confidence in their product atm. That makes a lot of sense to me.

There is talk of an online pass to stream all of Hall H, so that also sounds like a big reason.

 

I forgot about that streaming thing, still seems odd though. I'm with you i would think they stay if they had confidence in what they're putting out.

 

I can remember other companies doing similar things with other conventions due to having crap to show. The fact that it is a video game film they don't want to show speaks volumes.

 

Looks like Joshua Williamson signed a DC Exclusive deal. Hope that he's still able to put out Nailbiter.

 

@Colby Searcy are you caught up on Nailbiter? I just finished the third volume and ordered the fourth which appears to be the most recent. Loving it. I think the first volume was my favorite, liked the huge cast of serial killers, but the story is getting really interesting. Also have you read Ghosted?

 

I'm not caught up I think i've only read the first 2 trades essentially. Haven't read Ghosted but HAVE heard of it and it seems interesting, don't remember what it's about.

 

Is that your next series? I think it ended right?

 

I'm not sure, the only reason I'm interested is Joshua Williamson, I was hoping that you would be able to push me in the right direction (You let me down! lol). Looking into it more though it sounds great, Oceans 11 meets Ghosts, if it's over I'd be even more interested in it, I do like a good ending.

I ordered the first vol of Outcast so that will be the next series I start. Probably get to Hack/Slash vol 2 and finish Preacher this weekend

 

@Vivatoto how have you been enjoying Preacher? It's like 60 something issues for the full series right?

 

Yeah it's 60 something, 6 volumes with a lot of longer one offs that give back story on the characters. I was a little sad to hear that I'm so close to done, I thought there were 9 volumes originally, and 4 and 5 kinda felt like middle of the road stuff which I would have been more fine with if, you know, there was more. I'm very interested to see how it all turns out.

 

I also really liked the Batgirl story in Mad Love so I started Batgirl's new 52 run, which is good so far.

 

Nice. I think I have all of the issues digitally somewhere. Wondering if it's something I'd rather have physical copies of, though.

If you like animated Batgirl, I think you'll like Batgirl after the creative team change at 30-something. I sure do, lol. It's much more lighthearted, but I love lighthearted Batgirl.

 

Yeah I was trying to decide which one to start first and I almost started with Burnside. I think I'll go to that one next. Mirror is a really cool villain.

 

They're very well put together books. Not too many extras but everything looks great.

 

Hm will have to consider it. No job is making it difficult for me to keep pouring money into stuff right now though hah.

 

Just read all of Simone's run first and then read Burnside.

It hasn't officially ended or been cancelled it's just been awhile since an issue has come out.
