As someone who was deeply entrenched in the new pop punk wave 10 years ago and would travel all over for Wonder Years shows, no crowd will ever bother me again, I have seen the worst

 

The fanbase sucks, but I can still enjoy the music.

I've seen a fight break out at every BN show I've been to though

And I feel you Cam, TWY crowds sure were something back in the heyday. Someone sprayed pepper spray to get people coughing at the Upsides release show in Michigan so people would move out of the way to get to the front

 

Ahh, I miss listening to Lydia non-stop.

 

What store is that? That's the kinda place I wanna work.

 

I work at an Old Navy, one or two songs off "Shulamith" were in our rotation. We get some serious jams on our music system

 

Its pretty awesome what some retailers play. I used to go in Old Navy to sing along to Rooney and The Pipettes whenever they came on a million years ago.

When I worked at Borders we had our rotation albums and could play whatever when the bosses weren't there. I'd always put on Stars and Broken Social Scene.

At Bed Bath and Beyond we always had some pretty awesome mixes of stuff. Vedera, Death Cab, Jenny Lewis, Regina Spektor, Postal Service, etc.

Retail can be cool sometimes.

 

Also, Rooney is still making music. Huh.

 

My first girlfriend loved Rooney because they were on The O.C.

 

Yeah, as far as retail goes, Old Navy's been real good to me, they generally don't have a problem with me wearing wrestling shirts to work, save for my BC shirts, and we play some LCD Soundsystem from time to time

 

The new Turnover is all kinds of amazing. They'll be coming to NYC and Brooklyn in November but I also have work till midnight those days. @samoanowens and I are gonna go see Citizen next month tho and that's got me real hyped
