It's almost as if they all have the same agent or something

Movements is part of the "new wave not good" pop punk bands

    All pop-punk post-Twy has sucked.

They sound like every single local band who prefaces their music "for fans of Citizen, Basement, and Balance and Composure"

There are a few bands in this realm here and there getting a lot of tours now that I think are doing pretty cool stuff, but for the most part yes

they definitely aren't now but they were prob until Bloodlines came out and that's arguably pop punk

Head North was STRAIGHT UP pop punk on their first EP "Arrows". I think it's been erased from the internet, back when Brent was the guitar player instead of the lead singer. Weird times.

Shout out to when they were called Canoe.

Head North is legitimately one of the best bands in existence right now. Now that they're done with pop punk I hope their songwriting finally starts to see the attention it deserves

I think Pop Punk is the best it's been in years right now. I haven't been this excited about the scene since my senior year of high school and that was almost 10 years ago.

Bold opinion to have on this site. I agree with you, but there are many here who will jump down your throat if you say anything remotely positive about a band that came up after 2010.

Yeah, I know haha. I think there was a slight lull in the genre from about 2010-2013 and things have just picked up since then. It still can't hold a candle to the 2003-2007 or so era, but I really do think the current state of the genre is great these days. Whether you're into the more mainstream Warped Tour/Hot Topic bands or the grittier Fest type bands, there's fun stuff happening in every corner of the genre.

There are still certain bands I've just never been able to get into, though. Real Friends, Broadside, With Confidence, Man Overboard to name a few.

I can’t really do anything post-twy. I love TSSF, and while I liked KP and RF when they first came out I can’t really stomach them anymore. Any band who has came after them have really been bland.

I think we are at a tipping point with pop punk. Bands are going to have to push the boundaries more because generic pop punk bands are having trouble carving out a niche. I think Knuckle Puck's entire body of work has been very solid. Can't wait for the Boston date.

Went to the first show last night pretty much just for movements, they had their CD out 9 days early so it was totally worth it. Not a fan of their old stuff but the new knuckle puck songs sounded great live, I believe they played 2 unreleased new tracks as well as the singles. Was super suprised it sold out, didn't think KP was that big.

    It's chaos. Be kind. Prestigious

Real Friends and State Champs are the only post-TWY stuff I jock hard I feel like. Seaway is pretty fun too for what they are.
