GREEN DUDES BEST GREEN DAY PODCAST Prestigious

Kerplunk is their best album imo.

  2. Green Day is pretty overrated.

  3. Dookie, Nimrod, Warning are top 3.

Nimrod, AI, Warning, Dookie for me.

Warning is an extremely underrated Green Day album. Love the guitar tones on that album.

You're missing out. They have a lot of great deep cuts spread through their records

Man, Blink needs to do an interview or something. We've doubled back to Green Day conversation. Tomorrow it'll be JEW, then it'll move over to a Tom rant and rip, and so on

I think Blink has a much stronger and consistent catalog, but Green Day puts on the best performances.

Don't most people think Green Day has 4 or more mediocre albums? That's pretty huge

I don't believe most people think that. But even taking the trilogy into account Green Day's body of work is much stronger. Idk, I'm of the opinion that blink only has like two strong albums. The rest of their catalog varies pretty wildly in quality.

I actually disagree with the first part. Since this discussion, I've gone back and listened to a few Green Day records that I hadn't for a while.

Warning, which I was under the impression most people thought was their weakest record, could stand should to shoulder with any Blink record bar Enema. Then you've got Dookie and American Idiot. Most bands would be lucky to have one record with the influence and strength of those two. Up to 2004, I think they're either even or Green Day possibly edging it.

Post 2004, meh. 21st Century Breakdown is probably better than Neighborhoods and equal to California. But then California is better than anything they're put out since.

Then you've got performances. Just have a look at their strange craft, presence and set lists. Huge sets, playing deep cuts as well as singles, playing huge stadiums and arenas.

I realise a lot of this will be unpopular, and I wasn't actually going to post it when I was thinking about it earlier, but fuck it haha.

I really do wonder if I would have liked blink as much as I do if I discovered them at my current age
