If you're moving on from gaming, admit it to yourself. I made the mistake of building a rig that I barely used. Now I have a laptop

I still miss my gaming days though, but oh well. I just can't imagine sitting down and booting up Counter Strike or Flight Sim these days... maybe one or two sessions, but it's not really worth it. Now I just play roller coaster tycoon on my phone and use my ps4 lol.

I was considering building a midrange desktop (I have a 4770k that works) and getting a refurb MBP... I haven't decided, though

 

The thought that I'm moving on from it makes me incredibly sad. Like, there are still games that I want to play, but I just... don't.

 

I want a desktop as well but 100% of my friends are console gamers so I gotta stay over on that much less cost effective side of the fence unfortunately

Yeah. I was the same way. I spent all my free time online gaming with a PC when I was younger. PC gaming is the best. But I just don't find myself having time for video games like that. Yes, I play console with friends when they come over, but there's just not enough time... with all the shitposting and all. My biggest itch to scratch is Flight Simulator, but building a rig to fly a few hours every few months just doesn't seem practical. That's a lot of money to spend on something you barely use.

 

Breathe of the Wild was the first game I've delved into in at least a year, maybe two. The first night I played I played for 15 hours straight. It honestly felt really amazing to get lost in a world again

It made me so sad to become "that guy" too because I bought it and expected so so so much from it and I've never had a more "I don't care about this at all" experience with any game

 

I don't think there is a bad Zelda but this one def at least beats Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks and I'd put it above Skyward Sword as well by a hair
