so. can we change the wikipedia page so it says Kevin Devine is a member of Brand New?

Kevin joining makes me so happy and seems so fitting for the final chapter of this band. Kind of a bummer his own music will be on hold, but I can't wait to see what he brings to Brand New (I still won't watch anything until my show). I don't think him saying for the foreseeable future means they're not still done next year. December 2018 is almost a year and a half away. That's a long time to step away from all of your solo work, especially if we assume it'll be a busy year, because then he'll need a break and time to write new material before he returns. That means we're not looking at any activity from him for at least 2 years.

I'm still holding out hope they play the album in full. This is the tour to do it on if they're ever going to.

Of all the egregious things Martin Shkrelfuck has done, not liking this album is somehow the worst.

And I agree with @The Mysterious - this has all been carefully planned, and we have no idea what's in store for us.

Will Andy Hull be a part of the band by this time next year? Who knows

I think we'll know. I'd be pretty shocked if they didn't explicitly announce a final tour or final show.
