  1. Hah, I did the same exact thing, except I wasn't strong enough to hold out on the Halloween episodes. Still going to listen back through all of them this year.

Any other podcast/TV Halloween specials that are staples for you? I'm a big fan of the Family Matters "Stevil" episodes.

I listened to them all last October I just haven't replayed them despite having listened to my other favorites a couple times. I actually listened to them in reverse order which was obviously not a great idea so I'm excited to see all the on going jokes I missed. I'll probably start Oct 1st because I can hardly wait, ha.

King of the Hill has the all time greatest Halloween episode. Also a huge fan of Buffy's and Fresh Prince's. Modern Family had a few great ones. You're The Worst has been killing it too. Halloween episodes tend to be my favorite. I'm comparatively new to Podcasts so CBB is the only thing for me there.

The Scream series, Saw 1, TCM (original and remake) and Trick r Treat have been October staples for me.

  6. Ahhhh, gotcha, we did the exact same thing then haha. King of the Hill's is also an all-time favorite of mine, and You're the Worst's was really good. I'll have to look into the Fresh Prince and Modern Family specials.

Boy Meets World is another a stone-cold classic.

I'm thinking of doing a Youre Next themed Halloween costume this year. I found a latex tiger mask that I'm going to paint white and grey. The rest is even easier obv. The mask is obnoxious to wear, but we'll see how it looks.

Bob's Burgers has some really great Halloween episodes. Some of my other favorites that instantly come to mind are ''Spooky Endings'' from season 2 of Happy Endings and ''Too Old to Trick or Treat, Too Young to Die'' from season 3 of That 70's Show

can't be made fun of Prestigious

There are more big studio horror flicks coming out that I want to see than in a long time.

    - New Insidious looks okay, looks like they're double dipping in the Elm Street homages that made me fall in love with the first film.
    - Jigsaw will suck hard and I'll enjoy every suck
    - Happy Death Day looks fun
    - Friend Request looks awful in a way that I am drawn to

Little Evil was really fucking bad. Can't wait for Aukerman to give him subtle shit for that one on CBB or UTU2TM.

Cannot wait to see mother! tomorrow and I'm going alone because all of my friends have no taste

  19. I am almost certain Jigsaw will be ass, but not only did I not realize that it came out next month and that was a trailer released, but apparently the directors are actually decent (also directed Daybreakers and Predestination, although I've seen neither) and the film is supposed to be "Saw for 2017," "not quite as vicious and more fun." That's almost enough to make me curious

The tone of it is what I wanted from a soft reboot: edgelord copycats trying to recreate the traps and doing a really shitty job of it. I have some admittedly very misplaced faith that this will be somewhat of a one-off, and while they're never going to leave the franchise be they'll only come back to it every few years rather than annually.

  21. Never listened to the podcast, but I'll be checking this out.

  22. Speaking of Halloween music/videos, the new King Krule is pretty spooky, and this Joyce Manor album from last year still gets regular rotation from me:

trailers for both Jigsaw and Happy Death Day looked fun enough to merit a trip to a theater

in terms of horror/genre films in the pipeline that look like they'll actually be good, the TIFF midnight madness lineup this year has a bunch of shit I'm really looking out for

Adam Scott is way too charming for Little Evil to be unwatchable, but yeah, it wasn't good.

  25. I thought Little Evil was fine, far from unwatchable, but I was also drinking
