Been in line in front of the Warfield for an hour and so far it's been lots of people walking by blaring music from speakers they're carting around on dollies or a homeless dude flashing his balls and creeping people out. Ugh.

 

Honestly, to this day there is still something magical about My Neighbor Totoro

Brand New fans are pretty disrespectful to 90% of their openers in my experience

It always makes me sad when people are rude to opening acts

The only time I've ever even come remotely close to getting into a fight was at a fun. show where Steel Train were opening. This group of 2-3 drunkasses were talking and laughing very loudly during Steel Train and I turned to them and barked something like "Why the fuck are you here" and they kinda got silent and walked away

 

When I saw Ted Leo someone was heckling during Screaming Females opening set and Ted during his set talked about how he tours with bands he loves and doesn't want them disrespected

 

That first sentence made me laugh at the idea that a fun. show was a place where things got heated.

That being said those people sound awful. Nobody should disrespect Steel Train like that.

 

it was even MORE ridiculous to me, because Jack is IN THE HEADLINING BAND haha. Like, why are you at a fun. show and not at least paying attention to Steel Train... ridiculous ha

 

The band isn't called Lame.

 

Just reading this gave me that feeling in your stomach like when you're 11 and your parents are reprimanding you, no wonder they did lol.

 

Doors at 7pm. The line is down the block now.

 

that makes sense knowing the fanbase, i guess i never experienced it? the openers ive seen for them have all been pretty phenomenal though so maybe that's all it was

 

Haha right?! And it's not like it was after they became a top 40 band when you'd expect people to not be familiar with the members of the band.

Haha oh believe me i don't think there is anything lame about them. (They are my favorite band in a constant back and forth with Motion City Soundtrack.)
